Ducati Owners to Ducati Forum members.....Ratio ?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by clueless, Mar 1, 2014.

  1. I stand corrected there then , perhaps when I go to a lot of the biking meeting places through out the summer I must of imagined seeing the matching red ducati leather squad with the bench grinder ground down knee sliders and chicken strips bigger than Kentucky fried chickens bargain bucket , and yes I ride a ducati myself ....

  2. If you've ever checked out your reflection in a shop window - and I know you have - you're a poser. But there are levels, and in my opinion Ducati riders often take the top tier...

  3. spotted a ducati yesterday ........oh silly that was mine

on a serious note saw one round town giving it some at a roundabout along with another couple of jap bikes
used to see loads of dukes around here years ago when we had a duke dealership
now its a rare sight......... think in the last year probably seen two round here and thats all :frown:

dont think there is anyone on here from same area as me do believe there is a member who is about 15-20 mile away though

  5. Ha! I posted and the geezer put a pic up of me travelling in the opposite direction! Thats coz I is awesome

  6. Fricken right I'm a poser. If I had a 6 pack and 12" cock I'd have that out while riding too! As it stands I'll have to make do with a sticker showing my name on the bike...

  7. I do draw the line at making the other half wear matching leathers and helmet - unless we're in bed

  8. I used to have a 748R and will have another Ducati at some point so I might be classed as a hanger on I suppose but always love going on ride outs with Ducatistis as I find the pace so much more relaxing.:)

  9. Christ, the helmet in bed? must be a rough ride.

I rarely see Duckies up Lancaster way other than the odd 1198 that lives nearby, shame.

  10. You find a few dukes at Devils Bridge on a Sunday if you ever get across there and Ducati Manchester have rides out there regularly on some Wednesday nights during summer which is worth a look.

  11. I normally go once a month on a Sunday, but i tend to leave it to a bit later in the day so i miss the majority of people, is there a facebook group or anyway to get told when these runs are?

  12. Yep I tend to go up there at night when the traffic is quieter and the police have met their speeders busting quota for the day. great roads to get the bike opened up a bit. Yep Ducati Manchester have a Facebook page, if you 'like' them they post on their page usually on a Wednesday morning where they're going. I think the first ride out is at the end of March when the clocks change.

  13. Brilliant I'll get in on that, down to Manchester and back up in time for tea! tidy.

  14. so many now are owned by the jonny come lately bandwagon riders, they just bought into the brand, no passion for the bikes, just the 'shiney'..:::

the tri options finance also makes access easier to what used to be an exclusive product .....

also the bike to owners ratio may be skewed as well as many people own more than one ....

  15. and Scotland

  16. And there's the dilemma..........do you want Ducati to stay "exclusive" and die because it can't afford to invest in new models etc or do you want it to grow and prosper as a mainstream brand?

  17. No Tel, they want to buy a cheap mainstream bike, then pretend it's something it ain't - exclusive.

  18. I think that was what I was trying to say, in a roundabout way. You said it much more succinctly. :upyeah:

  19. Fact is there are more Ducatis than Hondas round these parts. European brands rule the roost in Sunny Surrey, if you want exclusivity, buy a GSXR...
