Ducati Panigale Track Noise Levels Thread

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by Monners, Jun 15, 2016.

  1. Thanks for the replies - I am on 2021 v2 and I have seen plenty running these with Akra belly pan systems with and without baffles with no issues on a normal Donington day. But then I read this thread and loads seem to have issues with stock setups - guess I might just have to chance it and see what happens!

  2. can you reply back with how you get on? When are you there?

  3. I’m fairly sure they are on the main start/finish straight, so I tend to short shift and 3/4 throttle there if not on a noisy day.

  4. Yes. Reputedly there is one on the gantry there. But they have more than one. I just don’t know where.

  5. I do not think they have more than one trackside.

Edit: I have heard rumours of a second at Starkey's Bridge, however I would say it would be much more difficult to trigger that one because of the way you ride that section compared to the start/finish (which is the only one I have heard of people triggering).

  7. Was at Donington yesterday (quiet day) and didn’t have any noise issues with the V2 and a decat under-seat. It was a wet day so didn’t get many sessions in but no warnings from the Marshalls so was happy with that. There was also a 959 running termi underslung exhausts too

  8. At Doni again this week - dry day and there were a few of us on 959s and V2s all with decat systems and no noise issues. My mate got black flagged twice on his 1290 Superduke
