Yes I can and I'm beginning to think that would be the best option. Shame cos I cut my teeth at Castle Combe back in the 90's on race prepped Ducatis including my long since departed 955 Corsa and was hoping to re-live the dreams of past glories. There wasn't any noise testing then as far as I recall?
Take a look at the notes on their website and maybe call them if you think it might happen. Do you know the dB level of your race bike? They test at 3/4 max revs or something like that and it's pretty strict from what I've heard. I have the BMW for tracks the Panigale can't get onto and I still wouldn't bother attempting Castle Combe.
I know guys who have done Castle Doom with 996 etc but will well packed race cans and full good DB killer or well packed standard cans Panigale? Not a hope in hell!!
Don't know you or if you know anyone...but look up/google louigimoto Bristol, he instructs there, runs a Ducati specialist and may be able to give you a good steer on your bike and possible find you a rental Ducati so at least it will be like riding yours!
I think I have a sonometre (decibel meter) somewhere kicking around at work, we have to measure some of our construction equipment from time to time. Funny I'd forgotten all about that so thanks for the reminder. The 998 is very noisy but I would love to take it so I'll do whatever I can. Failing that it'll he a rental!
from how far? At what angle? Best to replicate how its done at a track, just in case you are sticking it right by the can As 112 at 5500 is VERY LOUD!
On their paddock stands as they are in the photo at about 1m away. Never been noise tested before so no idea how it's done at the track! Anyway, off to get the 999R so have a 14hr drive just south of Denmark, will test it with its road can when I get home.

FYI the R with the open Ducati pipes measured 103 at Castle Combe yesterday so they let me out when a space became available in the afternoon!
No Limits Trackday at Oulton Park today so took the oppurtunity at lunchtime to pop over and get the Pani 899 with Termis (Db Killers in) tested. Came out at 102dB, useful advice from the tester was to make sure the bike was warm, slow progressive throttle input and I shouldnt have any problems - which I didnt.
At Cadwell in September my 899 with termis and baffles blew 101db so I wipped the baffles out. Never had a problem.
My 1299S with full Ti Akra was 107bD at tickover and 114/115dB at 5,500rpm. Eek. I'll test again with pipeworx baffles at weekend. Note we have a calibrated sound meter at work.
Anyone done Brands recently as have booked on the Gp circuit 1st May. See it’s 101db on the static and wonder if a standard 1299 will have any problems.
