Not unless he changed the fork bottoms to Ducati style ones too.... These are from an RSV. The adjuster is different and the mudguard bracket.
Sorry a little late but it looks like the guys answered you already. It's off of a 1098s/1198s So are the mono blocks. The only difference is the requirement to run 998R/748R 15mm offset rotors to retain the stock 998 wheel.
Wow, that is some machine. Awesome colour in these pics and the updated front end coupled with the sleeker shape of the 998 fairings just looks phenomenal. I always loved the 916/996/998 shape but this seems to take it to another level somehow. If I ever have the cash for a "classic" bike I'd love one of these.
The Aprilia M4 calipers are gold coloured rather than the grey that Ducati use. I have the Aprilia versions on my Monster, where as I have the 1198S Ohlins radial forks on my 916 but with Brembo HPK calipers. Aprilia M4 calipers; 1198S forks;
Ohh and it was Mr. DukeDesmo that walked me through this whole front end swap. He is the man if you guys have questions about it Thanks a million again, friend!
That is quite the collection you have there, Deano. How do you like that D16RR? One day I will own one
One is liking the polished arm, aes it look even more special. Very impressed, sht early put a kiss on the end of that......x
My 06 999 - fairly standard with the following tweaks. Ohlins rear shock. Slipper clutch. Forks fettled by louigi. Single rear seat and the rear footpeg hangers ground off.
My 999 with plenty of nice bits on it, also have a Multi 1200 Here on display. Ducati reckon its one of the best 999's there is, I like :biggrin:
