It really shows how small the 999 is, which is always my impression when I see it next to a 916. The svelte 916 looks almost lardy compared to a 999. The 999 may come in for a lot of stick, but I think it's a fine looking bike (without taking anything away from its handsome predecessor).

 

That white 999 is simply sublime , a stunning paint job , looks great in white.

 

The 999, 996 being retired ...... &

 

So, if you ride them both regularly, which is the better bike to ride and why?

My 05 749s after a good cleaning session, first proper one since my ownership. The previous owner had Neglected it somewhat & it was in a sorry state.......... Still a long way to go but looking better for it all the same
