Spent a bit of cash on the 748. New (to me) 5 spoke Marchesinis and mono seat unit. The wheels make a noticeable difference from the 3 spoke Brembos.
Are those magnesium.I only ask as when I swapped the brembo 3 spoke to marchesini 5 spoke I noticed absolutely feck all difference as no weight advantange. In fact im sure the marchesinis weigh more than the standard brembos. Look great though.
No they are alloy Marchesinis but they do appear to be an unusual design which not many others have. The hubs are different to most others. I weighed the wheels before and after and these are 750g lighter on the front and 500g lighter on the rear. Not a huge difference but worth it all the same. I have had the bike over 4 years now and spend a little bit more each winter improving it. At some point i would like to make it an 853.
Those desmosedici bikes with gp exhaust are still the best thing that ever left the factory gates.Id take one of them over a superleggera anyday.
Recent thread on the Pyrenees had me going through some old pics of the trip and taking a trip down memory lane. These are the kinds of trips that just keep on giving! Somewhere on the N260 Somewhere after Gavernie Falls heading towards Vielha At Lord Foster's Millau
This was more frightening and fun than any superbike.Especially as I was only 15 yrs old at the time racing in AMCA moto x. KX 500 aka The Beast And my dream ducati 998R evoluzione kit.One day that will be mine if a can find a complete kit for sale in these colours.
