Ducati Trackdays 2017 Now Open

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by bradders, Jan 13, 2017.

  1. I have emailed them so i will let you know what they said.

  2. Certainly no noise test at Silverstone and not seen or heard of anyone being black flagged for noise either. These days recognise the uniqueness of the Ducati sound so I wouldn't worry. You can always ask Lynn when you phone. Andy

  4. It always rains at Ducati track days, it's part of the tradition :)

  5. Did it last year? I left at lunch at Doni, morning was dry, and I thought Silverstone was dry?

  6. I left at lunch at Dony like you, and didn't go to Silverstone, but I'm pretty sure I read it was wet (I was working, so couldn't go)
In the absence of owning a Ducati this year, I might see if I can rent a CSS bike for the day as love the sound of a track full of Ducati's

  7. I did that two years ago st Silverstone. Went pretty well but they don't allow full power and no DTC ;) mind you good job as even with DTC on it was sliding the rear at the end of the day!

Handover between sessions good as long as it's not always you that needs fuel...as by time that's done you can lose a good half session. Or someone bins the one your sharing...

  8. Full Akra no baffles both tracks no problem, the pics are from 2014 I know as its me in the 2nd pic and they are using the same pics for 2017, well they are on jhp's Facebook page

  9. donny on the hyper sp should be fun :grinning:

  10. I'll be at Silverstone on my 999

  11. No rain at Silverstone last year...

'Edit - yeah, thinking about it, it did rain late on'

  13. I wouldn't mind attempting another DT day out, but it would be Silverstone if I did. Also having spoken to a few people who've been on these days over the past few years, they have said that it can be very crowded at times on track and finding some space on track isn't always easy. So need to think about the dates as they may clash with other events.

So enjoy and keep it rubberised down.

  14. Both great big tracks, loads of room. Only real issue is how they do the warm up lap sessions (CSS is bollox for that!) and sometimes how they release riders. :)

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  15. Cheers Bradders.

Donnington isn't an option as I already have plans, hopefully in warmer and possibly dryer Track time climates. Silverstone is a few days before another event, so need to check if its do able.

  19. How fast are the groups? I'd guess slow and inters mainly road bikes people are trying not to crash and fast the track bikes?

  20. Ime unless the 899 boys are there (think they may be banned these days ;) ) the pace is a little slower than s regular NL Trackday. But you will see road bikes in all three groups :)
