Ducati Trackdays 2020?

  3. If they cancelled then legally they have to offer a refund. I don't get how msv can suddenly rewrite consumer law.

    Cancellations

    (a) Cancellation by MSV

    MSV may have to cancel a track day due to events beyond its control, for example adverse weather conditions. This will usually be in the interests of safety. Where a track day is cancelled in its entirety for such reasons, MSV will endeavour to notify participants of the cancellation although MSV cannot guarantee that participants will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the event. Where a track day is cancelled in its entirety for such reasons, MSV are unable to reimburse third party costs incurred due to the cancellation but will endeavour to offer either (a) a full credit towards a place on an alternative, later track day (subject to availability) up to the face value of the existing booking or, (b) if MSV cannot provide an alternative date, a full refund.

    If MSV cancel a track day for reasons other than events beyond its control, a full credit, transfer or refund will be offered.

    In order to claim any refund, please apply in writing to MSV's address set out at the start of these terms and conditions, stating clearly the track day to which the application relates. For accounting purposes any applications for refunds must be received within 28 days from the date of the cancelled track day.

    So we have now lost approx three months of trackdays and i doubt they will be running until July, so say 4 months.

    How will they fit those 4 months of credit notes into the next 8 months?

  9. TBH if they can simply reschedule Donny for the future and guarantee my place with no increase in cost then I am ok with that.
    I am not ok if they can’t.
    Others may have differing positions.

  12. the bit that gets me about this event, and makes me want to demand the money back is the whiff of greed about the whole thing...from attitude to lack of comms.....

    a total contrast to No limits with whom i also have money for cancelled events...

  15. And the 7p a minute land line.. Who fuck is that greedy they charge customers to call them these days.
     
  16. That's ok as long as its not in winter (Nov - March at the min)! Not even going to contemplate chucking my 848 around in the ice and rain! First and last track day possibly? Vote with yer feet or bike in this case.

  19. You read the terms and conditions of your booking, there won't be a refund.
     
  20. Their T&C's and consumer law are two different beasts.
