  3. Dear track day customer

On Monday 23 March we issued a statement notifying that all our track days (along with all other types of MSV circuit activity) would cease operating until the end of April. We will keep that date under review over the coming weeks.

All bookings in this period will automatically receive a full 12-month MSVT credit for future use on our track days. The credits can be redeemed easily online or over the phone. We have a large volume of affected track days within this period but we are working our way through the events chronologically and issuing credits carefully. More dates will be released soon. The full details, including credit redemption, can be found here:

    Bike information: https://www.msvtrackdays.com/bike/news/2020/track-days-cancelled/
    Car information: https://www.msvtrackdays.com/car/news/2020/track-days-cancelled/

We hope that this approach will provide total comfort and reassurance to our customers. However, should you need to contact us for any other reason you can email [email protected]. Please note there may be a delay of up to 48 hours before you receive a reply. Please do not telephone us for any non-urgent queries.

We thank you for your support and understanding and look forward to seeing you all again once it is safe to resume.

    Best regards

  4. Negative, if they've cancelled on us and we've paid via like Amex or any credit card we can get the money back surely?

  5. The thing is, you don’t need these monkeys anyway. Each track has its own website and details of trackdays, events etc. Just pick a date, pay the track owner directly, turn up with your bike and ride. Why do you need a middleman to hold your hand a take a cut? At most a few of you would need to hire a van and book a crossing!

  6. If everyone insists on a cash refund I suspect none of the businesses will survive.

  7. Because the middlemen have over 60% of the dates in any trackday season, also the terms though the circuits are no different to the ones the middlemen have with the end client, so not sure what the complaint is?

  8. Is there a complaint?

  9. Sounded like it, who are these monkeys you speak of?

  10. There’s no complaint from me, I was making a statement.
I can’t be bothered to reply to your question, you can draw your own conclusions!

  11. Sounded like you were complaining about middle men, and no need for you to bother, not sure it would add much value.

  12. Oh ffs, slow news day so here goes:
1.) People are complaining that track days are being cancelled
2.) People are complaining that booking systems are still operational and bookings continue to be taken.
3.)People are complaining that track day companies are not offering refunds, as opposed to credits.

I am in none of those above three categories so have no complaints myself
I am identifying the possibility of people contacting track owners directly in order to avoid the unnecessary and often more expensive process of booking via a track day company (the ‘monkeys’ to whom I am referring in my comment).

Was I able to add any value?

  13. Comme ci, comme ça..

  14. Yes, crystal clear in your almost complete lack of knowledge regards how trackdays in most of Europe work for the majority of available dates and an expectation that booking direct provides any different outcome for the customer.

But thanks for confirming my suspicion.

And you can 'ffs' all you like fella.

You are clearly having a bad day or just deliberately being obtuse (a dick).
I’m merely flagging the possibility of contacting tracks directly and turning up and riding, rather than handing over the hard earned to a middleman and risking them having control over whether to refund or not/going bust/any other associated risk.
I’m well aware that trackday companies book many of the available slots, did you think that I thought they just rang up last minute on the off chance?
Anyway you know all this so enough from me, if you want to carry on being obtuse (a dick) come and find me at one of those euro trackdays I know nothing about. My name’s Joe, I look just like the pic in my avatar, I live mainly in Europe, my mum’s family are in Seville and my daughter works frequently in Jerez so I’m often in Spain I promise I won’t hide behind a keyboard, I’ll tell you I think you were being a dick directly and you can put me right on my knowledge of how trackdays work and we can each feel better about ourselves. Deal?
