  1. Wouldn't buying a ktm be easier ? :D

  2. Only if they come with a free blindfold so you dont have to look at the fugly thing ;)

  3. Beautiful engine and suspension components, hideous bodywork and frame
(strictly personal opinion. Owners quite happy with them)

  4. Trusted to do what?
Tell me, what do you expect DWC to do?

  5. Well I would expect it would do what it is advertised to do, apply a certain amount of power reduction when certain parameters are detected according to it's setting. However it's certainly more complicated than a fuel gauge or QS so how reliable is it? Maybe you'd get used to it and regularly pull 12 inch wheelies with confidence, letting the dwc dampen it, then one day it's not there. A bit outside the bounds of this thread though. I guess I've just lost confidence in Ducati's electronics

  6. "when certain parameters are determined". That's a key statement.
Determining those parameters is the heart of this thread.
Another good point you mentioned is the reliance on the system.

As far as I know, this is the only thread of its kind about DWC.
Some have mentioned to turn DWC off. That's not the point as this is not a wheelie thread.
It's about learning how the DWC interacts.

  7. Afaik the both are connected. Dwc and dtc work on speed difference front to rear. As multi has several imu units for abs etc I wouldn’t be surprised if dwc settings affect both parameters; speed difference plus bike pitch.

Does it work? Yes. Both work very well. Turn dtc up and see what happens when you drive hard from a corner..lots of flashing lights. Try and wheel on high setting and wait for the power to be cut after a few inches off the ground.

Another thing we’ll ahead of bmw by Ducati imho

  8. In answer to my own questions, I do believe dtc and dwc are reliable. More carefully engineered than simple fuel gauges .
Dar while you're out testing, I wonder how these two controls work as a drag racing style launch control. I know they aren't specifically designed for that

  9. Give is a go and let us know ;)

  10. I think my question is pretty well answered by neulee back in the thread

  11. Hate to be a smart arse, but Ducati haven't figured out a reliable fuel gauge. Maybe the dtc and dwc guys can fix that.

  12. My 1200dvt was always about spit on, and the twinspark before that wasn’t bad.

    When they worked :confused::rolleyes:
