Having just bought a new to me Panigale Tricolore and put about 250 miles on it, Its a real nice road bike, still trying to understand the QS though, sometimes I get it right, then sometimes I don't but its very to use. Almost too easy to click it up. So I need to maybe look into a little more. 1 of the common issues with a QS is that a lot of people want to change at the top of the rev range. I was advised to short shift when using it, thus looking after your gearbox and not needing a rebuild or breaking 1. The 1198Sp's QS isn't as subtle and smooth as the 1199's QS. Another piece of advice was to only use the QS on Race Mode on the 1199.
A QS is FOR full chat gear changes, not around town short shifting. Thats the point of it, to save time and keep driving forward. If you are round town or lower revs just clutch-less change as you would any bike
