  1. £19. Amazing what a bit of packaging will achieve for sales. Probably shite :joy:

  2. I would rather ride in jeans and s jacket than not wear ear plugs. In fact, I do ;)

  3. Wow. I buy 100 pairs for that.

  4. I've always had a problem with earplugs. When I say problem, what I mean is that they all cut out too much sound so I struggle to hear my satnav and or music via the Sena SRL (or other speaker based system).
I've tried the foam ones, ProGuard and most recently, Alpine's MotoSafe Pro.
I've tried varying how far I push them in but the result is always the same - limited (quality) sound from the speakers.
That said, I would rather wear them than not.

  5. I've just bought these.... whilst they fit Well, I feel they don't offer much wind noise reduction unfortunately. Sending them back.

  6. Just tried them out and found them to be very good. Different ear shapes I suppose. I could never get on with those bloody Apple headphones or over head ones. Always preferred in-ear ones as I always get a nice seal.

  7. I fitted the smaller size and whilst they fitted good, I still could hear lots of wind noise at speeds above 40mph.
I also found that when I put my helmet out it moved the plugs out of position so had to fiddle lots to sort them out.

  8. Can you actually send ear plugs back?? I feel for the next guy who buys them with the packaging re sealed. :mask::eek:

  9. I'm going to try and send them back! Lol

  10. Still use my Bose noise cancelling ear phones - had them about 6 years now and still going strong

  11. I’m never without them. Helps me to concentrate and stops me from going deaf in later life.

  12. Can anyone recommend best ear plugs - I have tried almost everything including custom made ones but nothing really seals out the wind noise or if they do work they are very uncomfortable and invariably difficult to put in. Is it just me - perhaps I have funny shaped ears.

  13. I use these, as do the company I work for, and personally think they are the best, as they expand to fill any ear.

  14. Anything is better than nothing. You don't want tinnitus, that's quite nasty.

  15. I have the ones pictured above as they were gifted to me by a mate who works for a ahem large Utilities company so are issued out. But I have used the eBay ones happily in the past as mentioned.

I was really surprised how much easier it is to concentrate with ear plugs in, can't cope without them.

  16. I tried some of these today if i push them in far enough they block out everything ,and i mean everything . It was like riding an electric bike .
So i pulled them out a bit and tried again .
i didn't notice any noise difference between having them in and not wearing them. I seem to be able to block out most wind noise naturally when riding a bike .
The only way i can describe it is , that when you are on a decending aeroplane your hearing goes muffled until you swallow to pop your ears, then your hearing becomes clear.
I seem to be able to do this when riding . I can ride along for ages without noticing the noise ,until i pop my ears.
If anything i noticed the wind noise more when i had the plugs in .
I also found they made my ears hurt after a few miles.

  17. I agree and vouch for these Howard Leight Max... they are quite good and effective and it is what I use daily.

I also use the 3M yellow round ones, also very good but not as soft the HL Max witch can be bad as for ear confort but also good and they tend do deform less
