Anyone know, I’m looking on an iPhone so not the best of pictures, is that the oil cooler inside the nose faring if so is that the correct position I’m just curious what with the large long hoses,
Not sure what it will fetch, been on and off ebay since last autumn, but a word of warning, this has been tracked and crashed causing a fair bit of damage. (The downside to selling all your crash damaged bits on the same ebay account you then list the bike on ) I have asked him why he hasn’t mentioned it’s been dropped in the listing… his reply “haven’t they all?” you can see signs of gravel rash on the clutch casing which he’s been unable to swap out. I saw the full red tank and his comment about preferring this over brushed alloy and thought it was odd. Having a trip down the road makes sense now!

This raises an interesting question - if the bike’s had more than one owner, do you ever really know whether it’s been down the road or not? The gravel rash on front mudguard and clutch are pretty damning - if you wanted to really hide it I guess you’d go to the time and expense of replacing those and the tank, and then try and pitch the bike along with other minters. Not condoning the chap not mentioning it, but the evidence is there for any buyer and he’s included the pics in the listing. As previously said - a lot of bike for the money if you’re going to track it yourself!

Not had any personal experience of insurance for a CAT classification but heard some insurers will only offer TPF&T cover , which could have a steer on it.
I've owned several cat registered cars and bikes in the past. I even brought some still damaged and fixed them myself. If they have been fixed properly there is no reason why mechanically etc they are no different from a non Cat vehicle. In fact, having been worked on many are actually better, if the work is carried out by somebody who knows what they are doing. I used them to enable me to own vehicles that I simply could not afford to otherwise, all the time feeling smug about it. Obviously they are still cheaper when you sell them on, but you paid less in the first place - simple. And of course there are many Cars and Bikes out there that have been extensively rebuilt without involving insurance, and these are a far more dangerous proposition as at no point did the qualified insurance engineer inspect it and decide how damaged it was. How do you know the nice shiny bike you brought in great condition isn't that way after a full rebuild following a heavy crash that didn't go through insurance. You don't, and there may still be latent dangerous damage to the frame. Insurance wise I've never had an issue. I was told that the question was asked by insurers so they could accurately value the vehicle.
