Did a beer run on the dray lorries many years ago, was all alchopops & wkd for bars along front. Think did something like 24 drops and lorry probably only covered a few miles. Lots of vomit on floors at delivery points.
If the bike was an original 748sp, you would be very unlikely to get £9,500. In my own experience, one off 853 builds (especially bitza builds) rarely realise a fraction of the cost of the build. I believe Neil Spalding coined the phrase “the 853, the best bike Ducati never built” and yes, having owned 2, it is a great engine but then, so is the 916, 996 and 998. I had what is probably one of the best 853 engines built, based on an ex factory 748RS. Just over 130rwhp and mounted in a 748R Öhlins rolling chassis. IIRC, I finally sold the engine for £3.5k. IMO, the bike on eBay is ‘worth’ between £5,000 and £6,000. Andy

Yes, very much a negative. A genuine 450RT with the desmo engine is a rare thing and would be a snip at that asking price. This in my opinion is a tarted up bitsa, and isn't.
