  1. I’ll never understand people who do this and I bet he will want 20 grand for it when he does sell.

  2. Me too, but they can be changed over for period correct, but the question's for the folk, what is it as it has a badge on the yokes.??

  3. Given the previous owner wanted the bike to look like an 888, would the badge on the top yoke have any credibility ? Registration number just comes back as an 851. Andy

  4. My 851 SP3 comes up as "Red Ducati" on the MoT check website...

  5. A lot of things scream standard biposta on that 851, but hard to tell from slightly dodgy video & naff pictures.

  6. Agreed, I doubt it's an SP of any sort.

  7. I like that...... BUT think it could be a can of worms... infact I'm beginning to hate Italian bikes ! My superlight needs new front wheel bearings/ floating rotors, developed leak from rear cylinder head + needs desmo service & chain/sprocket set soon.
But I suppose at 30yrs young it's about time for some love, might get engine repainted as well.

  8. Based on Your mileage and the length of Time you've own it, these things happen when your not expecting it.

  9. Moved house last November, so could without it now. But going to sort old girl out, then might move her on next year as have a flying adventure l need to help finance.

  10. That's a shame but sometimes we've to move on whether we like it or not, i've considered selling my yellow one as well as the red one that's 4 sale is not shifting at the moment.

  11. I might not do it yet, probably not worth selling after spending out sorting a few problems anyway. It's a strange market for superlights, I've seen decent £5k bike hang around and £8k bikes sell.

  12. I fully understand your position, as i'm just about to spend £450 on the van this wednesday with engine lights flashing again, so perhaps i'll keep it for another year.
My Superlight's up for sale elsewhere, considering what's been carried out it's pretty respectable, but again folks are fickle.

  13. I've seen 2x Mk1's sub £10k recently, which haven't seemed to have sold. (one is still advertised).
But 900ss seem to be making half decent money, crazy times.
    Good luck with your sale.
