Paul Smart classic, i personally think he's selected the wrong words in his description for this motoercycle based on the non photogenic engine cases. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20444891...J84ssdbGbc+uBnM3YrwbpQyg==|tkp:Bk9SR-Cgoe3LYg
If you look on carandclassic's, that's the trend on pricing, whether they sell is another matter altogether ( including mine ).
I looked at that advert this morning, they also have a scrambler https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355022522352
Do you think they bid them up? I watched that Africa Twin go and seems to be very little margin left to get back on the road vs buying a straight one to start with.
Think your probably right, people like a gentle tinker and hunt for parts. Imagine it is also easier to justify to other half if they only know purchase price & not total on road costs...... I'd never pull a stunt like like your honour.....
I've bid on a few from them, bought one, others, I have set my max price, and don't go above it, if I win, I win, if I don't, I don't This was purchased from someone who bought it from them, kept it 5 months, did nothing to it, and sold it to me (for less than he paid for it) Needed a bit of a clean up, the lower fairings, centre nearside, and nose cone area It was cheaper to buy a full fairing kit from China, than it was for a couple of the panels It now has a full MoT, a few new parts, currently awaiting the registration document to come back from DVLA It now looks like this....
I don’t think they bid them up it’s just prices are stupid at the moment even for damaged bikes. That 899 will go for £5500 I reckon which is a lot more than I paid for mine 2 years ago. I’ll wait until winter to buy another bike now, it’ll calm down a bit by then.
Nine sixteen Varese, paintwork not looking great but.......... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25621419...PVNDa08QB6JCKzmqBjSdvpKQ==|tkp:Bk9SR6Kb16_QYg
