  7. and its in pretty shitty condition when you check the pics out. Loads of marks and needs a strip and rebuild.

  8. He also says the original wheels were 5 spoke Marchesini ?
Does that shock look like it's done 2000 miles, no feedback etc etc
Another pile of shite....decent, honest bikes on eBay are few and far between these days.

  9. A bit doggy.
Worth about 5k in that condition, max.

  10. We should bid on it up to about £50k, when he doesn't receive payment, the winning bidder should say "I was just seeing how interested I was in the bike, I had no intention of buying it" :Meh:

  13. Account holder isn't the vendor. Vendor is, apparently, working away-says I can have the bike shipped to me after I pay by PayPal, and, reassuringly, will give me 14 days to look it over. If I'm not happy, I can have my money refunded! Unfortunately, they also don't appear to know whether the vehicle is a car or a van!
Tracing the IP address suggests they're in US?
What do you think? Should I take the kind offer?

Below is some of their email conversation

    Hi Ian ,
I signed the return policy and am offering a full inspection prior to the payment released. This is the main reason we are using PayPal, so you can make sure the vehicle is good for you during inspection. Everything is covered by eBay/PayPal. I will get paid only after you confirm that you received the van in good order.I will agree for a 5-7 days of full inspection period ( after the date you receive the car ).

Due to my location and since view or pick up is not an option I will agree for a 5-7 days of full inspection period ( after the date you receive the bike). This means that you have 7 days to inspect the bike for any damages and decide if you want to keep it or not! Because I will sign eBay's return policy, your money will be insured by them and you will have the option to reject the deal, only if we go through PayPal as well. If this is the case, you will receive a full refund (money back) from PayPal and I will have to take the bike back on my cost!

  14. Mate, I'd rip their arms off .................. and beat them to a pulp with the bloody end. Sadly people still take this shit at face value. I believe there is a tv programme due for transmission teaching 3 "celebrities" about scams. Andy

  15. What amazed me was the persistence-I thought that I'd get one reply trying for the money, then silence, but they've persisted, presumably hoping I'd succumb to the 'bargain' - ad is down now.

  16. You'd be mad not to, what a bargain. And a cast iron guarantee from the vendor thrown in for good measure. :Woot:
