  2. Agree with all that.

    Look at the beginning of this thread and you will see 748's going for £2k 2 1/2 years ago and are now selling at £4k. If all 748's are £4k and you want a 748 then thats what you have to pay.

    I guess with the SF they don't make them anymore (hope i'm right on that) so if you want a SF it needs to be used and the 1098s is the best of the bunch so like the Sport Classic if you want one then £££.

  11. Were/are these seen as hooligans bike's? I know they had the 999 engine but thought they were down tuned a bit?

  13. Absolutely, nothing detuned about the 998cc Testastretta engine, huge performance that made the bike almost unrideable at low revs. I test road one in 2006 and just wheelied everywhere in just about every gear. Andy

  14. I was looking at that in the flesh when my 1098R was in for a service a month or so back. Nice enough bike, but mental money !
