  5. That has been around for a good many months now, had at least 2 goes on eBay and IMO, at that price is going to remain unsold for months to come. Andy

  6. That's been doing the rounds for a while now, not unsurprisingly, given the asking price.

Do people not stand back before they embark on a project and weigh up the cost, benefits and residual value? More fool this bloke for spunking this kind of money on that bike and then expecting somebody else to pick up his bill.

Give me a nice standard 748R any day as well. :upyeah:

  7. Not including the purchase price of the original 748R, I'm struggling to get the costs of the parts thrown at it to add up to more than £15k so IMO he's trying to make a profit. There's also a lot about the advert that's bollocks, especially the claimed association with WSB spec. Andy

  8. Reckon 7k would be more like it. Even then only so you could sell the wheels and mag. It's not an R, simply. It's a track bike that may have been based on one some time ago....the top yoke looks different, almost like a 888 one? Riveted plaque?!

  9. Advert claims to be mag alloy triple clamp (assume 30mm offset) which would make sense with the extended swing arm. Just taken a 748R number plaque and re riveted on the new yoke. Andy

  10. Exactly.
