  1. That was up last week for i think 8k? classified ad, now bidding.
Not keen on the lower cans to long, wouldn't mind it, think the cranks on the rd500 are 1k each.

  2. do you know how many red-white r1 4vx 's were sold in uk in 1998? would this info be available anywhere?

  3. Not sure but I would guess 20% max of the total in 98, no one seemed to like the red seat and preferred the blue. Mint low mile White/Red ones now fetch approx. £1000 more than the blue ones - funny thing fashion. The people with White/Red ones push up the price through expectation due to rarity and the market follows - same with rare Ducati's like what is happening with 999R's at the moment - not a bad thing if you have some! Apart from the odd example most low mile mint Red / White ones go for £4000 max and blue about £3000. People do push to the example seen @ £7K and your sentiments help to push the market too. They will reach £6 to £7K in time and beyond but they are not there yet.
Some get changed now to Red & White now but will always show a colour change if checked. The 99 4XV's seem to be 50/50 as the Read / Black and White colour was more popular than Red/White of '98.
I only know of 2 new 4XV's which are new - one registered in Japan and imported (sold for £13K 3 to 4 years ago) and my '99 one which is un registered, supplied to the UK in '99.

  4. Ducati 900 SS Bevel | eBay

Judging by recent opinions on here on value of Black & Gold 900SS Ducati's this is a good buy at £13445 unless it's not correct in details.

  5. Nice one !

Bimota could be a good buy if you can get the bits .......

    Bimota Tessi

  6. Watched the Vyrus around Brands a few times in the Bemsee club racing about 3 years ago,

  7. Yeah but you would have to be brave as ebay is a funny old place.A few yrs back I made the mistake of considering selling my bike so stuck my 916sps on ebay. For some reason I only got bids of £3500 lol.

Luckily I had set a reserve.

  8. In that instance it is best to list at a high start price or fixed price for a couple of months - then list at a £0.99 start no reserve auction. That way you will get pretty much the full audience and it will sell for current market value :) you only have to be brave if you wish to achieve over the current market value. Your particular sale needed more time for exposure I think as you can get lulls in people searching, especially for rarer bikes.
