Asking price is just that nothing more. Also check the Sold Listings on ebay. Ducati 748 - then click on Advanced- then click on Sold listings. This should give rough idea of prices.
I wasn't for one moment thinking that's a price he/she may get, my post was tongue in cheek, I'm guessing it's a typo or a scam of some sort as setting an asking price at that level will not get anyone interested.
TBH doesn't seem scam to me...people see dealer prices (also low miles for the year) and they are trying. Same on some 2t forums people tend to see dealer prices, but when they actually want to sell the bike they are dissapointed that the asking price is not met.
Maybe he meant to type in 4950 rather than 9450? 9450 isn't even a dealer price, not even The Bike Specialists in Sheffield would ask that much. Anyway, it was just an observation on the ad, there's no point trying to 2nd guess someone else's rationale.
