That's it mate, could be a very expensive project by the sounds of it,wouldn't be a track bike or race bike just parade laps and shows.
Depends on what you are looking for, if it's an investment, I'm not the man to offer advice because I know squat about collectables. If you want to ride a piece of history, it's an expensive hobby and if you want a track bike there are faster and easier bikes to ride and maintain. As you know I track a modified 748R fitted with an RS engine and the current plan is to rebuild an ex Stuart Easton 2002 RS into an 853. I'm not a competative rider so the bike suits me and I am absolutely passionate about it, I love it to bits. Oh yes, I'm also single and have deep pockets . Andy
Just been looking at the photos on Ebay and if that bike has been raced I don't understand why it has stock road foot pegs with road shift pattern and not the RS rear sets and stock road master cylinders instead of race Brembo billet/machined ones. The end cans are not the 54mm Termignoni race system and not sure what the tyres are but they ain't race rubber. Not sure about the Showas either, I thought 01 spec was Ohlins. I'm just such an anorak but there is some detail here that dosen't stack up for me. Before I jumped in, I'd want an expert to look the bike over. Andy

another for exige.... SUPER-MONO RACE BIKE, one of 3 ever built by MONDIAL, fully restored, not Ducati | eBay
Spotted that a while back - it's been on before. Looks nice, but out of my league - saving for a Ducati Road bike hopefully for next spring as my California Cycleworks stickers look odd on my R1 :Bag: might put my 998 back on the road next year if I don't get anything else
Can't post a link at the moment, but can't believe that somebody is breaking what looks like a perfectly complete 749R on eBay…
DUCATI 749R 2004 FULL CARBON MODEL 2004 BREAKING 749 999 998 1098 1198 | eBay Yep, Mr elitesuperbikeparts again...
Yep, as Bradders said, he bought my 748R (853R), he buys via a seperate account so you do not know he is about to strip and sell it for parts as soon as he gets it home, annoying, very, but it is his bike now, but he is destroying perfectly good CLASSIC Ducati's. My BIGGEST hate for him though is his blatent lying on the parts he sells. He had my 853R engine up for sale stating it had done less than 12000 miles, it had done 24000, when challanged he said the mileage was approx as it came from a crashed bike. Only 2 weeks ago he advertised a set of rear sets for 748/916 etc as rare ducati performance items for £180, they where in fact items from Carl as race supplies direct, cost new less than £100, so buyer beware etc, etc.
