Although, 66 plate and late R looking tank. Still smells odd. Maybe as it was a track bike it was trashed and they installed S forks?!
looks like an early S to me, electronic suspension, termi exhaust not Akra's and tail unit is not off a Gen 2
Story seems a bit odd and with track fairings on it makes it difficult to assess as all parts from 1299 and 1199 are interchangeable , on a 16 plate is should be a gen 2 and is is not a gen 2, but maybe a late registered gen1 , one thing for sure it appears to have a bit of history and I would be looking elsewhere for a r.
Wasn’t someone @Freak ?? Looking for a v4r. Cancelled order, zero miles 33k asking https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/392314341357
Had a closer look on my laptop, i would say its a 1199 s or r as the 1299 has electronic steering damper and toggle switches on the lhs bar, so its a very late registered 1199 s/r to be on a 16 plate, they made the 1199 from 2012 to 2014.
Maybe it is an R, that was delivered unregistered for racing/track work, then registered later for the road? Seems odd to have a bike 2 1/2yrs after new model delivered sat around in new old stock
This one or a Desmosedici at the same cash. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCATI-1...rentrq:4a52d99016e0aa660d0b4548ffffb70e|iid:1
@bradders That comment will upset a few on here no doubt.but can't help thinking that the superleggy would be a better all rounder on the road more than the Desmo.
A world better. Full electronics, more power by a wide margin, likely easier to ride both fast and slow Doesn't mean I'd have the SL over a desmo for some money
