This looks like your neck of the woods, 78EM4JTB5URNew listing1983 Ducati 900 S2 Desmo / Classic Italian Sports Bike / Nationwide Delivery Don't think I've seen one like this before.
You could beat up JemSpeed over the 1 owner, low mileage, 748S they have in stock at £3980 and I’m sure won’t want it sitting around over Xmas/New Year. It even has Termis albeit not CF ones, and CF covers over the airbox & Airtubes. As you’d be doing the work yourself and as it will come with new belts & a service I strongly disagree with Android’s suggestion it’ll cost at least £1000 to recommission. I reckon it could be done over the winter and then moved on with a bit of a ££ markup in the spring. Plus you now know 748s inside out. Just an idea

Yes but unfortunately for some folk always a black mark over it's head when you come to moving it on.

^ I think we are in a bubble bought about by low interest rates for savings, poor-ish stock market performance and hype about classic car prices permeating down to bikes. Timing is everything if it’s about the money more than the metal. For me it’s the metal.
Agreed thanks to that fancy pants shop in the north as they've fecked up the true market values, great if you purchased many moons ago but not so good now for a buyer in hope of that classic motorcycle, and this one should be more like under £15k and no more.
Everyone is basing their prices on that shop and I'm wondering how many of them are selling for anywhere near the asking price. When that shop 1st appeared, everyone was laughing their heads off at the prices, now everyone is at it and I think the market has stagnated. I'm looking to buy a new bike (new to me) about 2 - 3 years old, while there are still some nice low mileage models about and people haven't had the chance to take the Mickey with prices.
