For Sale Ebay Bikes

Discussion in 'Ducati Bikes For Sale' started by Rob, Jun 13, 2014.

  1. Yet another non franchised dealer salesman who knows shit about the model. 1 of 450 ? Utter crap and yes, over priced. Andy

  2. Why does that upset you so much? It's all about the bike, why give a monkey's about the sales goon? Do you have to be a Ducati encyclopedia to sell a bike?

  3. Be honest, take pride in what you do and strive to be the best you can whether you clean sewers (which I did) or sell Rolls Royces (which I haven't). Bottom line, selling something as a limited edition 1 of 450 when it isn't, is misrepresentation in law under the Sales of Goods Act. Andy

  4. It appears there are 110 registered for road use in the UK, including the SORN ones.

There are also another 40 1098R Troy Baylisses, so a worldwide total of only 450 seems highly unlikely!

  5. selling to family or mates is fraught with danger, I can think of a few friendships ended as a result. honesty, good and lengthy communication, trust and transparency much needed but rarely achieved.

  8. Someone on here asked the question of Ducati a while ago. If my memory hasn’t failed there were approximately 1350 1098Rs assembled for the world market of which it worked out something like 850 are red and 500 are Bayliss reps. Andy

  10. That was me. :innocent:

I still have the e-mail from the sexy voiced Fabiana somewhere.

  11. Not on eBay but I have the opportunity to purchase a 900SD Darmah. Not the best of pictures here:confused:. Tank and bodywork are all present, correct and in good nick, just not on the bike in these photos. Does anyone have any idea what sort of value this might have? I know what they’re offered for running & in vgc, this one was running but has been stood for a while & needs a bit of tlc. The conversation so far is, me ‘how much’, him, ‘you know what they’re worth, make me an offer’. TIA

  13. I know nothing of this kind of Ducati, but maybe work backwards? Quick Google shows ones for sale in the £10-12.5k bracket, so what's worse case senario to have everything gone through & put back on road? Maybe £3k with independent specialist?
Punt from a bit below that & see if he tells you to Foxtrot Oscar.
