  4. Are you selling your bikes? If the crash is inevitable, presumably you are looking to get out.

  5. Id be thinking along these lines.

  6. I live near Walsall not close mind if you’re going to view be warned even the Dogs carry shotguns :)

  7. You’ve not visited Walsall have you? :)

  8. No, absolutely no plans to sell any. If anything, might add to the fleet (if the bike and price is right).

  9. So no plans to sell anything, like everybody else, yet people seem to think there will some kind of fire sale. I've no plans to sell anything myself.

I'm just curious as to why people think the price of everything is going to drop through the floor and the market will be flooded with cheap bikes. I've seen it mentioned more than once on here but with nobody themselves saying they are selling, in fact the opposite with people poised to buy, as proven in your post.

eBay and the 'For Sale' section don't seem any busier. I've looked at a few bikes, watches, cars and a number of other things over the past month and noticed no difference. When car and bike dealerships finally open back up I don't expact a glut of cheap vehicles.

  12. I think it (price reductions/market correction) will hit after lockdown when the inevitable cost of paying for Corona comes into play. For some, there may well not be a choice when it comes to holding onto assets.
eBay is quiet now because it’s a faff to sell it buy.
Just my view. May or may not be right.

  13. Which is a shame because I will be trying to sell my 748R at some stage. Andy

  14. For me that doesn't mean to say there will be a glut of cheap goods on the market. There may be some things for sale that otherwise wouldn't have been, but for a reduced value?????

  15. I wouldn't be surprised at all if prices for used bikes and cars start to come down, there will be so many people out of work unable to repay the loan installments, mortgage payments will take priority, it is showing already with P2P lending companies whose majority of clients borrow to finance cars, bikes, property extension, holidays and weddings, are having record defaults and missed payments since this crisis started.

  16. I think some people’s lives will change dramatically and we are in for a very difficult economic time.
That would lead to more supply and lower demand = reduced prices.

  17. Lots of people are sitting at home on furlong & are better off as no fuel, restaurant, pub, kids expenses. But this will all come to a end around June & then I fear unemployment will spike massively, we could end up with a 1930 style depression. Ftse is probably where your dough should go if your brave, people really have no idea of the carnage this virus will cause long after it's gone from news.

  18. OK gents. We'll see. :eyes:

I don't see anybody on here in that boat, certainly nobody is trying to offload cheap bikes. Please tell me if I'm wrong, but I have seen plenty of bikes listed on here previously, with sellers just wanting the funds to clear their PCP, but no sudden jump recently. Usually it's beacuse they just owe too much on the bike for what they can get from the dealer or WeBuyAnyBike. There has been more than one mention of wanting to profit from this situation with people in the position to buy. I guess not everybody is in the the situation they seem to assume most others are.

Anyway. There is no point in batting back and forward predictions for the next 3 months when nobody can predict the next 3 weeks. I guess we'll just wait and see. If someone on here picks up a Pani R for £9k, I'm sure it'll get posted on here in glorious Technicolour next to their bins. :) :upyeah:

  19. Yes I sold cheap. Was a Cat B. And he’s clearly not going to get that cash for it. Full Trioptions bikes with V5’s and suspension were going for £8000. With lightech rearsets, mapped and ackrapovics. He’s was polish I think.

he had chucked some fairings on and cheap rear sets that’s all
