  1. Why don't you place a reserve on it then & this way you'll be happier at the end result.

  2. You just have twice.:upyeah:

  3. I’ll probably just put a classified up when I pull my finger out and get it sorted

  4. A machine like that will sell straight away,IMO but folk do like a bit of price haggling.

  5. Was hanging and hanging and hanging....

  6. I know the feeling all to well after a recent thread that i posted up.: unamused:

  7. Yeh I can haggle with them no problem, but on my initial post I wanted to weed out the stupid offers that just waste everyone’s time. Selling my 916sps was an eye opener how everyone is so quick to tell you these bikes are worthless and it’s only speculation that drives the high prices etc and then offer you 4K less than you want, as if it’s a favour. I just didn’t want that type of junk coming though

  9. This is just the typcial buyers approach these days, and the same with the dealers unfortunately at times, stick with the price inmind and if it's a reasonable very close offer near the asking price that's fine but if not just don't release it from your ownership.

  10. I agree but only genuine buyers with the actual amount in readies haggle seems all others fantasise about the purchase. Might be why so much gets re-listed on e-Bay

  11. 1
And wouldn't be because much is overpriced sh1t with a good deal of cat A,B,C,D... going on.

A brief look revealed that "Ducati" is the keyword. eThe eBay thinking is that any Ducati is an appreciating asset that will only ever go up in value, so QUICK!, QUICK! QUICK!

I've owned about 6 in my lifetime and every single one has lost money - no big shock as they have all gone from brand new, or nearly new, to old and big miles. I am doing something wrong...

  12. Oh yeah. Riding them!

  13. If you’re buying, it’s all too overpriced. If you’re selling it’s a bargain or fair price

  14. Point in case. Really fancy that monster, but I can get a 851 for similar money. I can also get a 996 if I push hard enough. I like all 3, and 2 ‘may’ increase in value. The monster won’t.

but I’m sure the seller, given what it cost to build etc (look at comfysofa and his SM!!) think it’s reasonable even tho a good standard bike would be 4k, maybe 5k at dealer and no where near the 7k he’s asking. Does it make it wrong? Not if someone is happy to pay it :)

  15. Which is why I’d buy the monster not 851 or 996. I simply wouldn’t ride them and see zero -point owning something I won’t use

  16. Yes but also remember just for a fair argument, most sellers don't answer the questions set for them in full.

  17. Agreed but its also up to the buyer to ask the right question. I once answered the questions is the sun roof leaking ? On a car I was selling
Hand on heart and all honesty it was not leaking
Was also not raining the day he asked........
