Don't think it ever will - such a limited number of good examples of the most desirable 2 strokes out there - as yaz said "the only way is up"
Don't think I can bring myself to say the word "sell" at moment but makes me wonder what my 1972 Suzuki Kettle 8,000 miles would realise - sympathetic restoration about 4 years ago (over restored isn't for me as they just don't get ridden?) but still probably 98/100 or so I'm told?Probably one of the nicest ridden examples you would see?
I will probably get corrected - as there are a few 2 stroke lovers on here, but I don't remember that colour as a UK market colour? Maybe just USA market?
I do like the colour but would like to see one in the flesh so to speak, 4 on eBay at the moment whats the chance of that happening again,
It's Deffo the dearest I've seen but it's also prob better than when it left the showroom new? Makes me think it's not gonna get used in anger and become a trailer queen? Shame if so
Apart from investors/show collectors etc - the 2 stroke revival and mental prices we are seeing has a lot to do with guys my age (nudging 60!) who didn't have one when they were 17/20 years old cos they didn't have the wedge at that time of their life or ma and pa put the dampers on owning such a weapon?
The food is proper shite in the cafe - but the sort on the till is 9.5/10 with the best rear axle and pertest front garden I have ever seen! Place is packed with builders constantly and it ain't the scram? If she leaves they will go skint in a week!
Just saw this on e bay and although I've not seen it in the flesh it looks a pretty well put together machine for the money? I'm seriously tempted for a bit of summer fun,Ace cafe etc cos he says he will consider an offer if I rock up with cash?Mmnn
Just saw this on e bay - my sister had one identical in Nigeria in late 60's when she was doing a VSO (voluntary overseas government thing) for a year and when she was due to return to UK I was excited as hell! Not to be seeing her again cos she was a proper smartarse older sister and the "golden child!" but because I had seen photos she had sent of her on the bike and I was 12 years old! I know it's only a little Honda commuter bike but to a 12 year old kid mad on motorcycles it may as well have been a Norton Commando. It was carefully packed and crated up and loaded onto a ship in Apapa docks - it was the longest 4/5 weeks of my life cos I knew she was going straight off to university and I would find the keys if it killed me? The big day came and a lorry arrived with the huge wooden crate strapped on the flatbed - I think I actually burst into tears when my Old Dad (RIP) prised the crate open to reveal a knackered rusty old plough, some large picks and two tree stumps! I often wonder if my beloved racing Honda is still clunking round the backstreets of Lagos?
Just saw this Widowmaker on e bay that has just landed from Trump Town! Says it has a carb missing but no mention of if it is locked up (they usually are if been standing for years?) or if pistons are moving - I'm scared of askin dealer selling it as I will end up buying it? Girlfriend has categorically stated "No more bikes!" Or words to that effect
