  10. I actually went out to see this bike yesterday morning (before it went onto E-Bay), we'd heard that someone local was selling a race 888.
If it had been a genuine 888/926 Corse we'd have most probably bought it for close on double the (now) asking price.
However what we found was a well tricked up 888 Strada...
The owner is an honest guy who bought it years ago, but now after having 2 new knees fitted can't ride it anymore.
I told him what he actually had and advised him that it was worth £6 or £7K, but that it had quite a few well sort after 851/888 upgraded parts and was probably worth more if he were to break it.

It hasn't run for a few years so would need re-commissioning inc' new belts fitted.
It has a genuine Corse 888/926 rear seat unit,
Full QB Carbon fairing molded off "Foggy's" NW 200 Winning 888,
    Carbon front mudguard,
    Carbon one piece 888 airbox,
Twin injectors per cylinder 888 Corse THB's with Green injectors,
Oil cooler conversion using a 9*6 oil cooler,
Full 888 SPS/5/early Corse exhaust system fitted with 50mm Carbon cans,
Fully floating/underslung Corse style rear brake hanger,
    SP5 footpegs/mounting plates,
    Alloy clip-ons,
Radial Brembo (they look like Billet one's, but I couldn't swear to it) front brake and clutch M/cylinders,
Goodridge/Earls hydraulic hoses with Red+Blue alloy fittings,
    Alloy SPS/SP5/Corse rear subframe,
    Carbon undertray,
Carbon Corse covers on the P8 ecu,
    Carbon front sprocket cover,
    One piece Carbon clutch cover.
...and a claimed 926cc Blueprinted motor built by Glyn Robinson, who's now the owner of Sports Motorcycles.
Apart from a bit of dust where it's stood for a few years it looked pretty clean/paint work OK to run with unless you're a "Rivet Counter"...

This could be the bargain of the year for someone who's prepared to spend a few extra £'s to get it back on the road.

I didn't get the chance to check the frame or engine numbers, so a possible buyer should make sure to check those. But the owner has registration documents for the bike.

EDIT The owner isn't a friend of mine and I've nothing to gain from passing on this info.
My only wish is to help out a fellow 851/888 enthusiast.
