For Sale Ebay Bikes

Discussion in 'Ducati Bikes For Sale' started by Rob, Jun 13, 2014.

  1. They aren’t worth more than 3500 IMO, but nostalgia for some comes at a price to briefly revisit a time in life when they were more care free.

I’ve a 250lc as an ongoing project eventually I’ll get it back on the road......

  2. I've got the same one, probably bought under the same deal.
Sold with Mono seat and Termis/ECU fitted, extra Biposto seat, rear pegs and standard exhausts with the package.
Second owner from new.... yours is a lovely bike.:kissing_heart:

  3. I’ve just sold a matching numbers 4L0 350 unregistered German import for 5k to a LC club member. Bike hadn’t been run for a good while but was totally original. If I’d been keeping it I would have given it a good going over and changed the crank seals as it was a bit smokey. The tyres and brake pads / lines needed replacing as well so before you know it you’ve spent a grand and that’s before you think about any restoration work.
I bought my N1 fully restored for 4.5k three years ago by a well known guy on the RD forum who did a very good job on it but I still wasn’t happy with it and spent money on a few bits and bobs to get the bike I wanted.
Same guy has just sold another YPVS fully restored for 5.5k.
People are asking stupid money on eBay etc but you can still pick up a nice bike for that kind of money on a forum or the Facebook page.

  4. Sold within a couple of hours but better off spending a bit more to start off with than buying a project for 3.5k which seems the going rate atm.

  5. Paid 2650 for my 250 but just going to get it road worthy, I’m not too fussed on it being mint just going to ride it with the patina it has. Mine is from Switzerland so from memory is exhaust and carb restricted.

  14. With only a 49% stake in the company they're not in full control, but hey if that keeps another motorcycle brand going that's only a good thing for the biking community.
