Yeah! I guess it's difficult for everyone to see the funny side of things at the moment.

Having a bunch of like-minded, entertaining souls on forums like this one and being able to lighten up a bit, does make the crazy times we currently all live in a lot more bearable! For me at least !

 

I'm always after a bargain in life but thank christ i'm not gulliible.....just maybe a little rough around the edges.

I believe this is the bike of somebody I've met a few times.
If so I can confirm it's been really well looked after and 'fettled'.

I've sent him a message as I'm sure he'd rather not pay the Ebay fees if anyone is interested.

Wonder if that may just be the normal bag of spanners noise that the dry clutch makes?

I guess by the time you shipped it over to the UK and paid customs / etc it wouldn't be financially worth it.

 

Not sure how duty and VAT on personal imports from outside the EU are charge now we’ve divorced from the EU. I remember once upon a time, if the mileage on a used vehicle was over a set figure, you didn’t pay VAT on the vehicle just duty but that might have changed. Andy

 

Move out to SA and come back after 6/12 months with the bike. No duty and tax then

Usually (in most countries) if you are moving out from country A to country B you can take a vehicle you owned for at least X months registered in country A.
In that example you would need to go to SA, buy the bike, register in your name and keep it for 6-12 months (and stay in the SA for most of that time).

I would prefer to find something in Italy and ride it back to the Uk,now that would be awesome.

 

Looks very nice and clean . Twice as clean as the SL I viewed the other week, and two thirds of the price .
