For Sale Ebay Bikes

Discussion in 'Ducati Bikes For Sale' started by Rob, Jun 13, 2014.

  1. ..wayne just added it after I p.m.'d him. :upyeah:

  2. That has been up for sale for at least a couple of months. A lot of money has been spent on the bike that, IMO, the seller will not recover. It's worth more parted out than it is as a bike. Very little left of the original 748R which is where the money would have been but now, it’s just a bitza, a very spangly bitza but a bitza nevertheless. Andy

  3. probably for another thread but at what point does a bike become a bitsa? When it doesn’t come with oem parts presumably?

  4. I couldn’t find the corresponding fleabay addy so I didn’t see the whole spec

  5. True dat!, but IMHO looks a little unstable to move around on those tiny wheels on that rough garage floor without a bit more strapping down to make sure it's secure.

Perhaps the seller has a friend who sits on it to keep it steady when being moved.

  6. It’s very pretty though however I doubt it will sell at that price.
    (the 748/853R)

  7. !00%, hydraulics come to mind as a much safer option.

  8. In this instance, the only original parts I can see, are the clutch slave cylinder and the rectifier. Everything else is DP catalogue or aftermarket. I'm guessing the original engine was the donor but no idea how detailed the build was. Andy

  9. The 748 was the first bike I ever fell in love with and wanted to (realistically) own as a kid. If I win the euro millions tonight keep your eyes peeled

  11. Can’t imagine there’s many folk who could get insured on that.

“Hi is that MCE insurance? I seem to have come off my motorbike and there’s a fair bit of damage”

All the best with that lol

  12. That all depends on how desperate you're at spending your savings.

  13. They are works of art!

At WDW the year they came out, Ducati had a stand with one in bits, and some of the lightweight bits (frame, wheels, engine bits, etc) out so the riff raff could compare with the same parts from the cooking version ones The difference in weight was remarkable.

More room for pies I guess....

  14. Be very careful with that pie diet as you'll not fit the jockey seat ever again in a month of sundays.
