You can get it disabled via the ECU. Contact chrisw for that. Or you can just disconnect the cables. Dont unplug the mechanism though as you get an error. Howver i note from looking down that pic Andy posted that the butterfly is screwed on. You could just remove that disc of metal if you have the cans off already. The quick way is to remove teh cables.
I don't believe you can just disconnect the cables, it will know there's no spring px to overcome. The butterfly screws are spot welded, take a dremel to the screws and remove the butterfly, leave the cables connected. Worked fine for me.
Bootsam and Rivets are right; if you just disconnect the cable you will get an error message. If you don't want to remove the butterfly valve then you can always try Briggers solution shown in this thread: http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f6/poor-low-speed-running-fixed-12409/#post186410 All the best, Mark H
Yeah ditto! That's what I did when I had the standard system, then fitted a QD exhaust system and had a remap with Chris at CJS, and he disabled it whithin the ECU
One step behind you, re map at CJS next on the list. At the risk of thread hijack, I've read somewhere about x3 baffles on the QD system, think I've only got one in each can, where does the third one go?
3...? Don't know about that? I got 2 baffles, and 2 cat things..? But couldn't suss out where they went, so left them out. more than happy with sound and performance
