  6. I like racing bikes around in circles and Cartegena is great for that and we're all going in February. It is however very much an (english!) test track in the sun; mostly hairpins and short straights with a few flowing corners and very minimal facilities. I've not done Estoril but its a GP level circuit and every single euro GP circuit I've been to has been on another level to anything in the UK or Cartegena so it's a no brainer if I had to choose between them for the sake of a couple hundred quid extra.

  7. One thing to take in to consideration with Cartagena is that some riders find it very harsh on tyres.

I say some, because it’s not necessarily pace related. But certainly Pirelli’s and Metz do not last well there. If you do run Pirelli, run a higher front pressure to help counter the collapsing. They’re very soft carcasses.

out of the two I’d take Estoril. But it’s all personal opinion

  18. I rode Cartagena 3 times around 2001 on Aprilia Mille and was a good basic circuit , more suited to 600/Motards i reckon.. was hardwork on a thou in them days , but modern bikes are ligthter so maybe all ok nowdays..

A group of us of to Estoril in Sept with NL - looks a good circuit if a bit flat , i like elevation like Mugello, Catalyna etc

Also of to Almeria for 4 days begiining of March .. cant stand this cold/wet weather for another 4 months

  19. I’m doing Cartagena in November. Not booked it yet but I’m looking forward to. Looking forward to it more than Almeria in April actually but then that might change after riding Almeria.
