Eti Fuel Cell

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by cookster, Jan 9, 2017.

  1. I used an ETI tank on my 1098. No issues at all. Fit, quality etc. top notch. Best thing I did to the bike by a long way.
JHP were importing them, so might be worth a chat with John or Dave there for a group buy if they're still dealing with them.
The repair offer from ETI is more a 'if it's crashed or damaged then it can be repaired' rather than if it leaks as I understood it.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
    • Useful Useful x 1
  2. beater tank is £1660 for a 20L free postage but i dont know how much the import tax will be anyone know how to calculate it??

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  3. 20% VAT plus 10% import duty as a rough order of magnitude. Andy

  4. I do like the idea of the aluminium tank over the ETI fuel cell as I can have a nice brushed alloy stripe up the middle, a la 1198 SP. :Hungry:

  6. @Mr.R, Steve, do you recall how much ETI Fuelcells charged for postage to the UK ? Thanks, Andy

  7. id be interested in the eti one as well andy.

  8. jhp dont list any tanks for the 1098/1198 anymore but used to supply the 1198 sp tank as part of the DP range.

  9. Just looking at the price difference between Beater and ETI and at the moment, including the cost of postage from the States, the ETI endurance tank for the 1*98 is over $2000. I just need Steve to give me an idea of what his postage was for an exact figure. There are a couple of other things I want to clear up. An anti slosh baffle, cap and vent are extra on the ETI but it is not clear with the Beater although it looks as though they are included. I'm not a tightwad but £100 is a £100. I also like the ETI option of coming painted. Given the faff to do it yourself $500 doesn't sound that bad as a basic decent spray job here would be about £350. Andy

  10. Don't doubt it Steve, just looking for approximate postage costs so I can compare total prices. Appreciate your help and will await your pm. Cheers, Andy
