  9. Well don't fiddle with your arse when it's cold then...
(on a more serious point, I carry a small carrier bag to put the inners in to stop them being destroyed by glove velcro)

  10. yep , wasn't cold enough this morning to say if they are the nuts or not and long may it last! But I can say that they don't bulk up my gloves to much ( as in make it hard work to use controls) and a dam sight cheaper than buying dedicated winter gloves... As for ya heated grips...they just scream old age... Harden up...
( says the guy who now wears silk)

  15. So what’s the consensus on inner liners? Silk, merino wool, or synthetic? I’ve got merino wool but it’s a bit thick for me. The girlfriend needs to get some soon cause the commute is getting very cold.

  16. I've found that silk wears out in days. Not tried wool but I don't like the thought of it getting wet.

Synthetic for me. Lasts a biking year and does the job.

  17. Heated grips to max this morning. Hands fine in sports gloves but I stupidly only put my thin waterproof trousers on. Faaack!

Much rain and it wasn’t predicted. Not a happy bunny and now nursing a coffee before I go to my next client.

  18. JH - Your a hard B you are :)..

How much of a ride do you do - distance and time?

Maybe the KTM grips work well - unlike the Multi

  19. 20 miles into work this morning. “Refreshing” especially past Bristol airport -always cold/foggy at that level.

Standard astars 365 gloves -rubbish now, few years old mind. Need new. Kushitani?

  20. About 1:15 into London, approx 45 miles. I then ride around London and could do a tank of fuel in a day. Off to Colchester now as a client has just called in. Last year I was riding well into the frosty part of the year and had a few slips and slides from the rear tyre. I don’t mind too much so long as I am warm. My big gear does wonders but I didn’t think I’d need it this morning so am riding around with thin trousers and a short sleeved shirt on under my jacket :(.

On the Heated grips front, the ones I had on my 2010 multi were seriously hot but from reviews, they were a bit hit and miss. The KTM ones are about the same as my old multi ones, too hot on max unless it’s about 4 degrees and lower.
