  1. Oh yeah, the current one is toast already!

  2. Is it the same as the 1200 DVT fitment? I think i still have mine somewhere from my 1200.

  3. Probably, but I'm not sure I'll bother with one after this!

  4. Looking forward to an update. This is better than Brookside.

  5. Have you tried a strap wrench to hold the red bobbin in place while you undo the nut under the slider? It looks like the slider is supposed to spin as it's not locked on the spindle.

  6. I’d hope all my efforts to entertain you all would be A LOT better than Brookside!

  7. Yep, see post 35. He’ll be here soon, so I shall report back soon.

  8. Oops, completely missed page 2 and skipped to page 3... Not for the first time

  9. And it’s off! My mate used a vibrating drill thing (you can see how it all went wrong initially!), which did the job in seconds. He shredded a rubber glove by holding on to the red side though!

  10. I think we all know how it went wrong initially :D Andy

(sorry, that was a bit harsh)

  11. True. It’s a damn sight better than a discussion about us all getting sued!

  12. So now that this is fixed it’s my turn to entertain you.

One of my pillion footrest rubbers came out and I’ll be b*ggered if I can get it to go back in. I’ve tried warming it in boiling water, washing up liquid, pulling with pliers, hitting with a mallet but it just pops out again.

    So, suggestions welcome!

  13. Put it back in the footrest, I know it’s ribbed, but you shouldn’t be sticking stuff up there.
