If you're willing to go for a 2010/2011 Multi with a few miles on, you can get some great bargains. Get looking!
That would be my route. How do Sprocker. I'm 5'11" and when I tried a Multi I had both feet flat on the floor with ease. I ended up buying a KTM because it just suited me better but had it been the Multi the older, simpler, non-Sky Hook, single sparker would have my choice. If you like the concept, the comfort, practicality etc but aren't bothered about the latest tech, the older models are very good buys. And my favourite Ducati Dyno wizard tells me the single spark engine when remapped make more power than the twin sparkers. Enjoy and show us what you get.
test rode the new 1200S today OMG .... I NEED one of these ! Better than the Caponord i tested last month. The Duc is much better suited to my skinny arse, but i still thought the Capo suspension was a bit smoother, although i didnt ride the same roads.
Just to throw the spanner in the works .....sorry but cant beat a sorted, dyno'd 1100 hyper....ive had 2 now....and i fear after my next project is finished.....a third....
Multi 1200 with self levelling suspenders is the way to go. I love my Mutley and although a bit top heavy it has grin factor of 10. Great for seeing over hedgerows and if you need more height the front wheel lifts off the throttle with ease.
Capo suspension is definitely smoother but Multi engine is outstanding feature. Test rode Capo, GS, Honda Crossdresser and KTM. Duke got my vote as it was the only one that I could really tell what was going on front and back. It's even better with road biased tyres.
