I believe you are wrong motonik, I think it rests in closed position. Servo activates at around 5000 rpm opening the exhuast to allow better flow. It rests closed to get low rpm emissions and noise down.
Fair enough. I'll go and take a look later - if that's the case I'll pop the cable back on and secure it to hold the valve open (or some other cunning means). Nik
Ok, just been out and checked the bike over. Two things: 1. The ABS pipes are fine when you lift the subframe up - they are solid beneath the plastic cover underneath the seat, however, leading in to that they are flexible, so the allow for any movement. So no issues there. 2. As I thought, the exhaust valve rests in an OPEN position with the cable detached. I have just removed my "silencer" and checked. As an aside I started the bike up and manually open and closed the valve. It's not significantly louder with the valve open, but it's definitely a bit deeper. Sounds a bit more meaty. It's decidedly weedy sounding with the valve closed. Also, the "silencer" seems like it's more ornamental - all of the silencing occurs in the cat. A de-cat with std silencer would presumably be pretty loud, so I can see why additional baffles are used. Nik
I Plugged a Duc Ee in here - (removed the cat and cat buterfly valve cable - as used Leo vince decat pipe) ... but when I turned bike ignition on I got error on dash. Does that mean the duc ee units not good? I’ve just left the stock servo and cables in situ so can return back to stock should I choose. Is plug in right place any anything else to do, or is Duc ee not working as it should?
