I was experimenting with some black pvc tape for a while. I love the 999's design details but the lines don't stand out that well in the single-colour paint schemes. I've used a bit of black on my 05 fairing too...
Yeh I know it's easy enough to change, but the grey arm doesn't bother me, just that I think the later ones look better. Whether they make the bike handle any different is another matter. May have given it more thought though if it wasn't necessary to change the exhaust as well.
