    (more than once is OK, more than 10 times is probably getting a little worrying!)

  4. I think it's about 3. But the dark glasses thing hit me immediately - it's just pointlessly inane. Then I was interested to see where they came from in the first place - answer: magic.

    The whole ad is obviously massively sexist (not that I really have a problem with that, sorry girls). The simple subtext is, if you want to be rich and powerful, have these toys and get this girl in bed, then you need our card. Super subtle, eh?

    This sort of ad normally gets made because all concerned with it are going to have a great time playing in some exotic location with boats, helicopters and bikes and hanging around leather clad women. The agency like it (expensive to make) the marketing team like it (great jollies), the director likes it (all that slo-mo - like a mini film!).

    A large multinational I worked for made a commercial that happens in the sea. The location chosen was New Zealand. There is no NZ scenery, the sea could have been Brighton. But that wouldn't have been nearly as fun, would it? NZ FFS!

  10. A company I worked for filmed part of an ad in South Africa, "because the lighting conditions were perfect". What a load of pretentious (and expensive) bollocks!!!

  14. One of the funniest ads I ever saw was for a beer - Carlsberg or Heineken, but I've never been able to find it on the 'net. The ad has a woman sitting on a plane quietly reading when an old lady sits down next to her and starts talking incessantly. After a few seconds, a stewardess comes along and asks the woman whether she'd like any help help with her bag - when she says yes, she reaches down, picks up the old bag, stuffs her in the overhead loacker and closes it...then finishes it off with if only heineken made (or something).

    Very funny...has anyone else seen it ?
