  1. Not been to many, well, one - so it was the best I've been to. Aerosmith with Shed 7 supporting at the NEC. Rick Whitter put me and a chick form my local on the guest list - pretty cool rocking up and passing the long queues to walk straight through, rock and roll baby :bucktooth:

  2. Midnight Oil at the Town and Country club, I think in Kentish town?
On my wishlist? Where do you start? LZ, SRV? Too hard...

  3. Ah yes Motörhead b’ham odeon saw them I recall they played 3 nights on the bounce great band live.

Stafford Bingley hall aka ‘the cowshed’ saw Whitesnake there epic.

  4. Yes early Whitesnake was awesome , basically Deep Purple without the influence of Richie Blackmore

  5. Too many to mention from Hawkwind when I was 12yo, through to bands more recently like Vintage Trouble, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Blockheads, Shed 7, Mike & The Mechanics etc. All fantastic in their own way.

The only one I’d say was shit was Roy Wood & Wizzard. Utter shite. Oh and Elbow last year when every song sounded the same.

  6. Jean Michel Jarre. 1988. Docklands, London. Me and 250,000 others in the crowd.

  7. GNOD
    Many times, always raucous

  8. The Jam Bingley Hall Birmingham circa 1980. Energy at a gig the like of which i have never seen since.
Neil Young at Manchester Apollo - sat right on the front row and he did half the gig as solo acoustic and half proper rocking band. A truly memorable night.
    Oasis- Loch Lomond.
Roger McGuinn of the Byrds, in a tiny old church in Worcester. Played many Byrds hits solo on his Rickenbacker.
Paul Weller - Royal Festival Hall just 18 months ago.

Lots of others i could mention too.

  9. I saw U2 in 1983 at a small theatre in Liverpool, before they got BIG, not stop pogoing, superb. Then there was John Lydon 6 years ago, again superb. For pure emotion it has to be Kate Bush 2014, for me, pure magic.

  10. You are sooo lucky to have gotten tickets for Kate Bush.

They sold out in less than 90 seconds of going on sale, according to my bro'law.

  11. it was in Kentish Town, then became The Forum, not sure what it’s called now but still going, great venue.

  12. Seen many good gigs , but the one that stands out for me was Simple Minds at Milton Keynes bowl in June 1986, backing from the Cult and the Waterboys...awesome for the impressionable young(ish) man that i was at the time.

It was a good gig but I was glad when he finally finished.

  14. Tune yards in a dirty little sweaty underground venue in Mcr
I don’t know how she. Merrill Garbus the lead singer, managed to carry on when people were passing out and being carried out due to the heat!
