1098 The Bayliss Connection
The weather was just too good to not bring out the chariots for the first time since their winter refresh. Both received new suspension, serviced, and Ventureshielded.
Bayliss was defeated by the white corner, but he brought it home again on the red one

My Fav Pic Of My Bike
this is the one for now -
848 Oh 848
Picked up my new to me 848 Evo SE today, new tyres and pissing rain on a blustery bad day for biking. Just come back from a second blast. I couldn't resist. I daren't take any pictures. I'd be drummed out of the Ducati club for bike abuse. I already have a deeply loved SF848 and the Evo has not let me down. Solid as a rock and light and lovely all at the same time. Even in the mud and rain I am very pleased with my purchase. Weather be damned. I shall further acquaint myself in the morning. -

After 20 Years, Bought My Dreambike Today!
Hello, my name is Anders, and new to this forum. Im an "old family guy" from Norway, ridden and owned several bikes through many years (mostly japanese bikes; R1, CBR1000, GSXR1000`s, ZX-10R, also Aprilia RSV1000R factory, BMW1200RS and KTM´s). But never my dream from mid-90`s:
This is the one. Owned and served well by the same guy last 20 years.
To be honest, i hope it will function a few more miles. Its been ridden a lot, 57000 miles (!).... Many "things" have been done with it last year, but, i will post more updates during the coming season to tell You all how it works.
A Ducati dealer told me it may last all the way up to 90-100000 miles if i took care of it. I will try
(Sorry for my bad english)
Looking forward to hang around this forum, cheers:sunglasses: -

New Ducati Service / Diagnostics Software & Adapter For Diy Servicing
It has been a long development process to put this all together. A two-man-show, me doing the hardware side (PCB prototyping, component assembly, testing), my brother (he is C++ programmer) working on software side of this project in about 6 month span. After several hours (clocking about +200h of personal time) and countless £££ spent on PCB board revisions, ECU models, components and prototype mistakes we have finally finished this into viable functional adapter. I would like to proudly present my contribution to the DIY servicing of your Ducati Motorcycle: A completely new design of Diagnostics/Service adapter for the shadetree / garage mechanic.
It all started after huge frustration of getting all of those OBD adapters to work. In my case and also in a case for many of my friends, I could not get to work all of those blue/silver/black OBD Vagcom adapters that you can buy online on Ebay/Amazon/etc with available free DucatiDiag software. Also, available bluetooth adapters did...mfurore Feb 29, 2016 Parts, Accessories & Clothing For Sale Read More Views: 64,447 Likes: 20 Replies: 163 -

Got Off My Arse & Started.....guzzi 1100 Sport
Well I've lied a bit in the title already, its actually a Magni Sfida 1100, but its based heavily on the Guzzi Sport.
Anyway after a long time when life got in the way I thought I'd start to try and make some progress.
The front wheel going in a milestone as at least its now got 2 wheels and an engine and long road filled with pain and frustration awaits
I am not scared to change some of the rubbish stuff on it, even though it lowers value, I'll be either past caring or pushing up the daisies when it leaves. So value isn't a big issue to me.
Thought somebody might like a wee peek -
899 Goodbye 1199...hello 899
So it was a sad day on Tuesday when I said goodbye to my 1199. It's gone to a good home, someone from here, so that's cool.
And today I picked up this as its replacement.
It's a 2013 899 on a 63 plate, one owner, 2600 miles with Termi cans, Evotech tail tidy and genuine Panigale R decals (although I'm not sure if they'll be staying!)
It's pretty much mint but yeah, not sure about the decals. The guy was sticker crazy, if you believe the stickers then it has an Ohlins rear shock and steering damper too It has some nasty stickers on the rims too which will be coming straight off also.
I had a few reasons to want to swap from a 1199 to an 899. One being that it has helped free up a little cash for my screen protector project and secondly I never really felt like I was making the most of the 1199, it was almost wasted on me. I'd like to feel a little more like I'm ringing the bikes neck a little, which is pretty much impossible on the 1199 on the road.
So yeah, here it... -
899 Rather Excited....

You Don't Know What You're Missing.
Today was sunny, so I popped out for a ride on my ST4.
I thought I'd post a few pics. Empty roads and just a T shirt under my jacket.
Better than an English summer day because there was almost no traffic.
Tight roads at first, then onto a real peachy blaster. The A-356 Valez-Malaga to Colmenar.
So good I turned around and went back again, past the reservoir at Vinuela.
As I approached Los Castillejos there's a lovely right hand sweeping bend, on the opposite side is a restaurant. About 10 guys on trial bikes stood outside with their helmets on. It looked like an organised tour, they must have been having fun. I know I was.
They turned and looked up early as the roar of the Termignonis announced my arrival. I was hanging off the right side of the bike with my knee out but I took my left hand off the bar and gave them a wave. Every one of them waved back.
Lou Reed came to mind, "Just a perfect day." -

959 899 Vs 959 Test Ride
Hi All
Today, I took my 899 into the dealer for a service, and at the same time arranged to have a test of the demo 959 so I could get some form of reasonable back to back comparison.
Although it was bloody cold leaving my house at 9am to make the 60 mile trip to the dealer, the roads were pretty dry largely, and it gave me a chance to remember what my 899's really like before going on the new bike.
Here's a few token pics of the 959
I had the 959 for a good couple of hours, so got to give it a proper blast, although with temps hovering around 6deg and the roads really cold with still some ice about, I couldn't really get the tyres warm enough to really give it a blast
Personally, I'm not a big fan of the exhausts, although I do think the Akra option on the test bike look OK, and they're growing on me, but still a £1.2k option on a bike that's so far not being offered with any discount of free exhausts (yet)
The Akra pipes sounds pretty similar to my standard piped 899 at tick over...
