For Sale 916 Biposto For Sale
For Sale, 1996 Ducati Biposto.
I have owned this bike for 16 years, only ridden it a few hundred miles a year, due to working away from home so often.
I put the bike on a SORN 4 years ago due to health reasons. The bike was started up every couple of weeks during this period of time.
Hence mileage 12385.
The bike has always been serviced by a Ducati trained mechanic at a Ducati dealership and service centre. It has not been tinkered with by untrained hands.
Had a Full service done including belts all fluids etc only a couple of months ago + MOT.
I have lots of paperwork, the previous MOT certs, service receipts & service books etc.
The bike has always been kept indoors (in my house, it’s own room) I have always and still love this bike and I am under absolutely no pressure to sell it, but I can not ride it anymore so it makes sense to let it go.
I am asking £11000 for the bike and will not accept any offers below.
The bike is just south of Colchester Essex.

New Guy From Bangalore, India
Been riding motorcycles since 1992, stopped riding between 2004 and 2014. Got back on a motorcycle in 2014 and don't want to stop any time soon. Currently riding a 2021 Multistrada V4. Haven't been riding as much as I like to but hope to correct that in 2023. -
916 Rebuild

Cerakote - Wiltshire | Ducati Forum
i was hoping to get the bike rebuilt a little sooner but with Louigi Moto getting broken into i held off a little for the dust to settle before asking him to put it back together for me. (i would like to have given it a go myself but this one is my pride and joy so didnt want to risk fcking it up!),
i took it down there and had a good chat with Rich. they've caught the pricks who broke in although there's little chance they'll get the justice they deserve, but more importantly Rich was back on full form and did the engine for me and he's firing on all fours doing engines and services. he's got a lad called Lee working down there with him who is on the ball too.....fair to say the engine is immaculate! he really does do a proper job down to every detail and with Lee learning from him then the future after a shit year for him is looking good
i cant wait to put this back together, although... -

My Euro Cherry Has Finally Been Popped!
I’ve been hankering after a Euro trackday for some time but never been able to find the time or money to justify it. However, a few months ago I thought to myself I’m gonna do it, I couldn’t stand the thought of not riding anymore this year.
Through a friend of mine we managed to get on to the No Limits Jerez trip, this was for 3 days from 25th to 27th November. There were a few other friends going which made it all the better.
As I was a novice to a Euro trackday and my mate was a seasoned professional he showed me the ropes and made it all worthwhile.
Now if you think this is a nice little holiday with mates relaxing and taking it easy then think again. Euro’s are full on, from the minute you set off to the airport to the minute you get back home, there is no rest. Obviously if you travel a few days before and return a few days after then these days will be more relaxing!
Back to the good stuff, we flew out from Stanstead on Thursday evening, Spain bound and arrived at our... -
New To The Forum
Hi I am a first time Ducati owner living in Turkey for the last ten years. I've owned many bikes, too many to mention but 9 months ago I wanted to fulfil a lifetime ambition, and own Ducati. As I'm retired my funds were very restricted and the cost of buying bikes in Turkey is very expensive. So, I decided to go full analogue and buy one of the early Ducati Monsters, and I'm not disappointed. It's a classic, with a feel-good factor every time you ride it, and the glorious sound of a dry clutch. Not done much to it at the moment except bring it up to pristine condition and decide what new accessories I treat it with. I have included a photo to show its current condition. -

Hello From Darkest Surrey
Picked up my new Bayliss a week ago from Pro-twins. Had 3 days of reasonable weather to start enjoying her and managed to get 170miles on the clock but a little fearful she'll be stuck in the garage for a few months now.
Only mods/additions so far are race (tall) screen, front axle crash protectors, removing the awful euro reflectors on the brake callipers, throttle spacers and optimate euro5 connector charging lead install. Anything else can wait until I've had a chance to ride her more and assess what, if anything, is needed (or takes my fancy). I suspect that some form of paint protection and race-shift pattern rearsets are going to be next. -

996 Restoration - Exploded View
Hi, getting to the point of reassembling this old 996 that had sat in a garden for 15 years rotting. I thought I would take the time to lay out all the various pieces to see what a 996 looks like fully dismantled. Looking forward rebuilding now and hearing her fire up for the first time in 15 years!

916 #116
#116 finally lives again, maganaged to get morning off work and finally collected. New clutch /electrical woes sorted, was a bit chilly at 07.00 but put a massive grin on my chops on a few favourites back roads. -
Greetings From Wales
Hi all, previously masqueraded as Scaramanga on Ducati Sporting Club, and returned to the Ducati fold after a dalliance with Aprilia. Gone right back to my roots and bought the sister bike of my very first bike, a 2002 748bip. Same year, same model, same colour and from the same garage! -
Hi From Spain
Hello everyone, after a long time reading the forum, I decided to settle here. I hope to exchange information, and help in any way I can. I currently have 4 motorcycles, (although one of them is not a Ducati) so I am quite entertained. a greeting -
Do You Suffer From Acid Reflux / Heartburn?
Get it checked out..!
After years of suffering, a ray of hope appeared when it was reported that, in some cases, the cause could be treated by a single dose of a specific antibiotic. The GP sent me for an endoscope that revealed mine wasn't going to be an antibiotic cure, instead I had something called Barratt's Oesophagus. This is where the body tries to defend itself from the pain of having the oesophagus regularly burnt by stomach acid ('heartburn') and allows acid proof stomach-lining cells to grow into the oesophagus so as to form a defensive layer. Very clever, except that you now have an interface of cells that should be there and an alien invader that shouldn't be there, which together create a pre-cancerous situation. The NHS was most reassuring that there was nothing to worry about; I'd be called back every 5 years (this is now done every 12 months) for a check up. In 15 years that followed, I didn't receive any call back and a life of careers, growing children,... -
1299 Finally Picked It Up !!
After waiting for the past couple of weeks for the go ahead to collect 1299 I put a deposit on to have a new tft screen and battery tray I finally got to go on Thursday to Aylesbury Ducati , quick test ride then load it in the van and get home . It is the first Ducati I've owned but I have had over 50 other bikes including the fireblade I've still got too . I'd booked Friday off work as well so spent most day riding around getting Ducati acclimatised it is awesome , even better than i expected, so much so I've done over 400 miles on it so far and plenty more if the weather holds . -

Next-gen Freedom: Scrambler® New Generation
Updates to the 800 Icon, Full Throttle and Nighshift announced today. Been on a diet, electronics package, quickshifter and new multimedia dash.
No mention of the Sled and Motard models or the 1100’s so either they’ll come later or are being dropped from the range?

First Ride Ever On My 748!
Did my test 28yrs ago! Hadnt ridden a bike since, until this week.) Did a refresher course this week - turns out “it’s just like riding a bike” is true!), so since it was dry and sunny here, I decided to take the 748 out for a short spin. Have to say I was a bit apprehensive but it was great!
When I bought the Ducati a couple of months ago, my main reason was just for the sheer pleasure of owning it, and looking at it. But after discovering the low cost of insurance, the temptation was too great.
Kind of had in my head that this was going to be a fire breathing dragon of a bike that would rip my face off!…..but was pleasantly surprised how smooth it all was. Feel very excited to own and ride a Ducati. Looking forward to many more rides.
