Newbie 1299 Owner...
Hi everyone,
I'd like to introduce myself, I'm a proud new owner of my first ever Ducati, and my dream bike, a 1299 Panigale!
Had loads of bikes in the past, my last being a Fireblade, but this is my first ever Ducati, and I'm loving it!
Picked it up a few months ago, you may or may not recognise it as it's been on here before. -
V2 Worth The Wait??
Last Wednesday I got a picture sent to me from Winchester :-
Way back in early February I placed an order for a new V2 Bayliss with Moto Rapido. I was chopping in the Pani R. The Bayliss was scheduled to arrive in July, but, supply problems meant delay after delay.
Friday just gone I went in the van to pick her up. The bike was PDI’d and prepared with all its accessories on Thursday. Transaction made seamless by the Moto Rapido team (big thanks to Andrew and George) who I chose to place the order with because of the service and parts back up – they feel like a proper Ducati dealer. Not a multi franchise metal shifting company (if you get my drift).
The drive home was pretty quick as it was sunny. Got the bike of the van and immediately put 80 glorious miles on it, followed by another 30 or so yesterday (not as nice but hey ho, dry at least).
Why change from a fire breathing Panigale R to a lowly V2? I was increasingly finding the R frustrating to ride on the roads as it... -
749 New 749s To The Ducati Forum Paddock
Finally committed to a new (to me) 749s - I'm not sure if this bike was a Bip originally or a Mono but it seems to be one of the crossover models as it is registered on an '05 plate but has a silver frame and cast SA.
Low miles, good amount of service history, full Termi system with race ECU, carbon bits and bobs here and there...I'm very pleased to have found this little gem -

The Cost Of Club Racing...
As some know, I tried my hand at a bit of racing this year and thought I'd share my personal experience of how much it costs. Now, this will vary massively person to person, level etc so isn't supposed to be a guide or exact etc. Just wanted to share my own experience.
I know there are others on here that have much more long term experience so won't be new to some. I'd also add being new and lack of experience meant I spent a lot more pre season than I probably needed to as well as during the season on some things.
I also haven't included absolutely everything here such as converting the bike to a race bike as I was always going to do that even if I wasn't going to race. What I have tried to include as additional cost is stuff I didn't expect or found I needed during the season as well as the season entry deposit. Food and drink isn't included either as I simply can't remember how much I spent each weekend. I'd say 30-80 quid depending on how much . Also not included... -
Another Honda 4 Rebuild
Way back in june I needed something to keep me busy, so inspired by @comfysofa with his 400/4 rebuild I got on the lookout for something similar. Then @Nasher posted this in the for sale section. (There are more pics in the for sale section.)
It was meant to be a winter project but couldnt wait, so here we are now. -
Just As I Approach The Twilight Of My Biking Career...
I'm not getting any younger, I'll be 70 in a few months. I used to do 15k a year on my 748, these days it's barely 1000. But but but... I've recently had both cataracts done. For the first time ever, I can ride without having to force a pair of glasses into a helmet (I've had contact lens, but found them far from perfect on the bike, althogh OK in normal use). And it's just a joy. And as for the clarity of vision, well, I can't get over how good my new TV looks, the one I was a bit disappointed with when I first bought it! I rode over to St Helens tonight to watch the Rugby League World Cup game between Tonga and Papua New Guinea, and the bike is going so well, even though I seldom use it, it starts on the button, idles smoothly, there's nothing wrong with the fuelling... I figure it's worth one last belt service! -
Honda Nsf250r (moto3)
Hi guys, I picked this up at Stafford over the weekend, it's a cracking little bike, 250 four stroke, this is the base bike for the moto 3 race bikes, absolutely original from the Honda factory. Not sure whether to keep it standard or get some nice goodies for it. -

For Sale Ducati 1098r Bayliss For Sale
Hi All
For sale is my as new 2009 1098R Bayliss No 484 of 500, in totally immaculate condition with only 1753 miles. It is literally in as new condition with not a single stone chip or mark on it (apart from a small fingernail sized scratch on the RH rearset heel guard). This 1098R was formerly owned by Stu Sonley of this parish (the legendary behind the sofa bike!) until I prised it off him in October 21. At the time it had 1200 miles and I have added another 500 miles. I'm only selling to fund building works.
When I bought it, Nelly at Cornerspeed did a full recommission service including new Diablo Corsa's. With the additional purchase and fitment of a tracker, the total cost of the service was £1500.00. I also had Nelly fit a new MPL Tuning Parts clutch slave cylinder and open clutch basket.
The bike benefits from full paint protection. It comes with all of the associated bits that the bike originally came with:
-paddock stand
-original ti exhaust (Termi race exhaust and ECU... -
Mv Agusta F3 Rosso, Lovely New Bike!
Just arrived at the weekend, shiney new MV Agusta F3 Rosso. I'd been looking around a sports bikes, Aprilia, BMW, Ducati etc... Chose this beauty in the end. Plenty powerfull enough for my needs and for a sports bike it actually suits my body size and find it reasonably comfortable, my toes actually go flat on the ground lol! The riding position isn't as agressive and the Pani V Twins. Even the stock suspension setup felt spot on for me.I spent Saturday afternoon ceramic coating her and adding some PPF to sides of the tank. I've now added a nice tank pad (not in these photos).
Took her out for 80miles, Sunday. Loved it, personally I think its a better buy to a Ducati Pani V2. I even much prefer the electronics on this than on my SF V4S! Cruise control is great for dual carraige ways, fast straight roads etc.., set it, steer and give your wrists a rest . The dash mirrors some stuff from ya smartphone, Satnav, Music, texts etc...
You can even update the software on the bike via... -

So Why Do We Love This Brand?
Confirmation that this is a Ducati of a certain era: 1) randomly won’t start if you look at it funny….2) throws fork oil all over my garage floor….3) almost impossible to ride slowly…..4) sounds like thunder, not in anyway subtle…..5) it has receipts for literally £10’s thousands that idiots like me have thrown at it…..6) so fast that whenever you go out on it, you arrive before you left!….7) gets a ridiculous audience whenever you stop …..8) less comfortable than any torture techniques……9) absolute joy……and that is why I love the brand, a machine of absolute chaos and happiness!Mark - Ducati Bournemouth Oct 2, 2022 Ducati General Discussion Read More Views: 7,396 Likes: 16 Replies: 85 -

For Sale Ducati 748 Low Milage Recent Belts Termigonis
Ducati 748 2001 Months until May 2023 new belts low milage
For sale is my beautiful Ducati 748. She is in excellent original condition with low mileage. The bodywork and engine are in excellent condition and she has always been out of the rain and maintained to the highest standards with no expense spared. Original factory fitted alarm still works perfectly.
She has two keys the original books and lots of service history. Fitted with Termigonis she sounds amazing and is such a beautiful iconic head turning bike.
She has MOT, has just had her belts changed by Verity Motorcycles (St. Ives). She had a full top end service not many miles ago at St Neots Ducati.
Located in Cambridgeshire.
I have owned her for 6 years and am only the third owner.

One Year Into Hyper Ownership, Just Found This Site!
I picked up a 2016 Hyper 939 SP last sept 2021 and what a good decision it's been. Lucky enough to find an absolutely immaculate bike with loads of upgrades but thankfully all ones I'd be planning on doing, just 5k miles on it and local to me too!
Fast forward and 5000 miles later, 2 rear tyres. 1 front and a brilliant trip to Spain I'm still over the moon with it. It came with the taller screen which made the motorway schlep much better and the swmotech panniers worked a treat and are off in seconds.
Either way most fun trip I've had yet, these things punch out of bends so well and just get better the harder you ride them, but I'm only saying what we all know right?
Anyway thats all from me, from a life long 4 and 3 cylinder sports bike rider!..theres another way and its Hyper! -
I Didn't Intend To Buy A Ducati
Hello,
I went out looking for a winter project. I went for a trawl around the SuperMarkets and the classifieds looking for something that was OK but needed some work.
The mistake I made was going into Chris Walker's Ducati Dealership and finding a 2015 1200S DVT with the full touring kit and one previous owner.
A rush of blood to my wallet coupled with a complete lack of self-restraint when it comes to motorcycles, and the 1st of October can't arrive quickly enough -
V4 Back In The Fold
Hi guys,
Picked up a V4S last week after a few years away from the Ducati brand (previously owned a 1299S and an ex Trioptions 899) and BMW/R1 ownership.
I'd ridden a V4S in 2019 before I bought my S1000RR so had fair idea what it would be like anyway. First ride out today didn't disappoint and it felt very similar to my R1 I thought. Just a pity we got caught in the rain on the way home from Inverary.
I've already ordered some carbon fairing covers and will as a few other bit of carbon to it but if anyone could tell me if it's possible to change the standard rear sets to race shift then that would be great? -
Back On Two Wheels
After a hiatus from riding, I woke up last Wednesday and after some gentle (relentless) persuasion from @tcrofty7 I ended up impulse buying a new bike.
so here she is, Kawasaki zx6r. Nice spec, tidy as well (hopefully it’ll stay that way).. I’ve been hounded in to doing Donington Monday and I only collected the thing today, so looking forward to having my first wobble around for a fair while
some obligatory pics.. and yes.. it is in my kitchen as the garage is full of Aston. The missus is over the moon with the new sideboard
