Euro Tour 22
Finished my Euro tour yesterday, 9 day trip with 7 days riding covering 2480 miles.
My 13 GT performed faultlessly and now has 41k miles on the clock, even coped with an unintentional 25 mile off road excursion at 6500ft along a gravel and rock strewn very steep goat trail.
Great St Bernard and Furka passes are pretty special as are most of the Alps roads. Riding through France isn't much fun with ever changing speed limits, B500 through the Black Forest in Germany is a great road spoiled by very low limits. We did a few laps of the Nurburgring which was a giggle, need a lot more laps to learn that track!
Will cut down the daily miles for next years tour, stay out of France and get the ferry down to Spain instead. -

Marks Stash
All
Just a short explanation about a number of parts I will end up listing for sale on here over the coming days and Months.
Before Christmas one of the stalwarts of The Ducati Monster Owners Club Forum passed away very suddenly.
He was Known on the Forum as Darkness, but his given name was Mark.
I knew Mark quite well, he lived @3/4hr from me, we both shared a passion for older Monsters and it seems hording parts.
I have been helping his Widow over the last couple of months to dispose of his collection of Monsters, they've all now been sold on and I am working my way through his stash of spares.
Sometimes I'll be asking for help to value parts. I'm sure you'll understand that I'm trying to do my very best for Marks Widow, but at the same time trying to give fair prices and be as transparent as possible with regard to what's being paid and being passed on to her.
All of the parts are now in my storage container much closer to home and I'll be listing parts on here as well as... -

Hello From Spain - V4 Pp
Hello everyone.
I write to you from Spain. My English is not very good, I hope you won't be too hard on me.
After spending several years reading this exciting forum, I have decided to register in this worldwide reference Ducati forum.
Although I have had some motorcycles throughout my life, from Japanese of all kinds, Bmw, my last 3 motorcycles have been Ducati (SF 1098S, PP 2013 and now V4PP) and also today I have some classics that I maintain and I work on them.
I am passionate about mechanics and detailing and I love taking care of and doing things on my bikes.
Thank you very much for your welcome and the forum for this free space.
I hope to contribute interesting things to the forum.
Sincerely. -
Goldie Rides Again.
Well after two years of shit n carnage.
It’s time to decide if this trackday thing is still enough fun for the cost?
I haven’t sat on a bike for two years, so given the old hag a service, new boots and a wipe down with some furniture polish. And a day out at Donington this Friday. It could be fun?? Anyone else venturing out on Friday? -
Panigale With Termis…
Just got Termis fitted to my 1299S. Holy crap it’s loud - popping and banging on every upshift when using the quick shifter. It’s almost offensive!!
That’s all, end of my post! -
1299 My 1299 - Little Update - 1198s Wheels Refurbed Again
A little update,
I had my 1198s wheels powdercoated with a matt clearcoat a while ago but unfortunately they did not take too well, a few rides in and the wheels flaked ! so I went back to the powdercoaters & they accepted that there was an issue with the clearcoat and offered to put them right.
This time round I opted for a slightly different shade & gloss clearcoat, same colour but different manufacturer so colour was a lighter shade but I'm happy how they have turned out - considering I spent hours trawling the internet to try source the original colour of the 1198s wheels in the goldy colour with no definite answer I actually prefer the lighter colour white gold that I picked out.
Will start with a photo from the dealership when I first picked it up. -
I'd Like To Acknowledge Biketrac Customer Care
Having an unusual experience with a 3 year old, apparently fully functional unit/Sim that won't talk to the monitoring centre. A couple of phone calls later and a stumped technical support (he didn't actually use "stumped" but you get the drift ), they are sending me a new, replacement unit, free of charge. I have always been happy with the service from Biketrac over the years but they have definitely gone the extra mile for me this time. Andy -
Ok, I'm Back......again
Yes, I'm still alive and just having a quick glance at the posts, it's really nice to see the same people posting !
Hope you're all doing well and the last couple of years have been kind to you.
I promise I'll try and input a little bit more this time, but my cancer meds are flooring me with fatigue and pain everywhere. So I've sort of lost interest in most things tbh.
Anyway, nice to be back ❤ -

Italy? Bear With Me.
I'm fortunate to have a property in Piedmont, so part of the reason for getting a 999 was to explore some of the local roads and passes. However it's not the ideal machine for getting there.
I should set off on the 23:00 Newhaven Dieppe ferry on Friday, and have a room booked in Avallon (near Auxerre) for the Saturday night.
I will aim to update this with pics, but this may exceed my technological capabilities.

Really Enjoyed My First Ride!
Just delivered today. 821SP. Fortunately, the weather was clement so I took it out for my first ride on a Hypermotard. First impressions are:
I *really* enjoyed my 50 miles or so. Yes, there’s no wind protection-don’t care. (What is the purpose of the fly screen. To keep the wind off my tummy?). I found myself easily as quick cross-country (South West Northumberland into Alston) as on my Panigale, and the Hyper wasn’t trying to chuck me off at every bump. Not the power of the Panigale, but certainly enough to demolish traffic, including most other bikes. (Helps when you know the road well). I found I could pick a corner line, stick to it, but also change mid-corner if I had to (road cleaning vehicle brushing the gutters/verges in mid-countryside at -0 mph leaving clouds of dust)
Gawd, it’s *tall*! At 6’ I can just get toes down, and it was a little worrying when parking up on the slope to take the scenic shot below. Colour scheme is-not the usual white SP? I don’t like the... -
