I'm At Almeria For 4 Days
My apologies, the last 2 days have been full on so little time to post. Arrived at out hotel yesterday evening after an uneventful and stress free journey from the UK to Alicante.
Today was the first of 4 days on track. My bike.
The weather.
First time out on the Multistrada and I'm questioning why I bought a Panigale V4 The bike is outstanding, I'm not the fastest by a long way but the bike is just great fun to ride. Only time I've come off track was to refuel and have lunch during the mandatory hour shut down. The organisers are threatening to charge me more for all the track time I'm using Best first day I can remember, ever. Toe sliders have taken punishment as have the foot rests, it's just AWESOME Back in the hotel now after a couple of beers in a local bar and I'm knackered. Weather forecast is 26 degrees for the rest of the week and we've still got 18 hours of track time to come. What's not to look forward to ? Andy -
Fore!
Yesterday, this happened…..
I can now die happy knowing I’ve had a hole in one! And the shot was exactly the shape I planned…and we could see it all the way in, two soft bounces and that Ping noise hitting the pole. Then it disappeared….
And yes it cost a few quid over the bar -

The Long Day Down
Yes, I know it’s a parody of a much better known long distance ride that happened a few years back but what the hell Plus, surprisingly no-one else has used the name.
I took it upon myself to organise a long distance ride, for charity. I really can’t recall why, one of those ideas that form in minds over the long winter nights I suppose.
Anyway, it’s now happening (and will be repeated in future years) on 21st June - the longest day - get it. Participants have to ride from Malin Head, ROIs most northerly point, to Mizen Head, ROIs most southerly point (ish, there’s a bit of poetic licence there), a distance of 1000km, in the hours of daylight.
Participants cannot leave Malin before 04.47hrs that day and have to be in Mizen before 22.00hrs (sunrise to sunset that day). Along the way they will have to photograph themselves at each of 12 POIs, which means they can’t take the shortest route.
Apart from challenging oneself the idea is each participant raises a minimum... -
916 916 Sp3 #098
So this is the latest addition to the stable. And I still can’t believe I am the lucky owner…
4600km from new (that’s approximately 2900 miles). Yeah, not enough if you ask me. Last owner rode it 150 miles per year for the last ten years. Really in need of true love and care…
I brought it back home late March and tore it apart right away for a big time service. It’s done now and bike being appraised (for insurance) before I can seriously start using it on our (very) sunny roads.
More to follow with tons of pics!

I’m An (ex) Ape Man
After much tooth sucking and procrastinating I have gone and chopped out my Daytona 765 Moto2.
All my bikes are (were) full fat sports bikes and, well, what’s the point of that?
You all probably know I like Triumphs as well as Ducati. But the 1200rr makes me feel a little ill. So ugly and pretty screwed up riding position (low pegs, lower bars).
So, supernaked it is. Streetfighter? Too expensive and serious. Superduke. Seriously?
Dog fight between 1200RS and Tuono.
No contest. My new bike:-
2021, very late. 112 miles. Full Ti system etc etc.
Any bike that lets the rider change the cruise control button to adjust wheelie control on the fly gets my vote.
So. One everyday bike. This one. One dedicated track bike. GSXR. One beautiful bike for high days and holidays. Pani Bayliss (eventually).
Happy days. Off to destroy the rear tyre tomorrow. -

1994, 900ss Back On The Road After 10 Years
My 900SS finally got her first MOT since 2012 and put in her first 100miles
I’m over the moon to finally get to ride her.
Only issue to be found was a weak spring on the side stand that kept throwing the light up on the binnacle.
…does anyone know where I can get a pair please? What I have found online are very expensive… for a pair of springs.
Cheers.Jonathan Mark Vardy Apr 24, 2022 Supersport (1974-2007) Read More Views: 3,079 Likes: 14 Replies: 27 -
For Sale Ducati 996
Ducati 996 Bipsto
Registered 5/8/2000
1 previous owner for 21 years before I purchased August last year rode it home, buggered my back up and it’s been sat in the garage ever since, I removed battery and brimmed the tank with shell’s finest until today, refitted the battery and it fired up straight away. I just cannot see me using the bike for the foreseeable and I don’t want to reinsurer it so decided to offer it for sale. Now I am no expert on the 916 series of bikes this is my first older Ducati, but the bike is a credit to its previous owner as he resisted temptation to modify the bike apart from a set of polished Termi’s and carbon rear hugger, it remains on its original dealer supplied number plate and decals, he even had the side panels relaquered to keep the side dealer decals original. As you can see from the original invoice in its Ducati folder he spec’d the bike with the mono seat unit from new. It has covered 4333 miles and comes with a folder of receipts etc. The... -

Ducati Continues Its Growth Trend With A Record First Quarter 2022
13,450 motorcycles delivered to passionate customers worldwide during the first three months of 2022, up by 5% compared to 2021
Italy is again the leading market for Ducati with 2,544 motorcycles
The results obtained were penalized by a strong discontinuity in supplies, a situation that could continue over the course of the season
Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 14 April 2022 - The first quarter of 2022 ends with another record for Ducati, which announced in March that it closed 2021 with its best ever result in terms of deliveries, revenues and operating profit. A total of 13,450 motorcycles were delivered to passionate customers around the world from January to March, with further growth of 5% compared to the same period in 2021 and 40% compared to 2020.

Had my first ride on it today wow what a bike feels so light and the stomp its got especially 3rd 4 gear is crazy lifts the front wheel at every crest I didn’t think no quickshifter would be a problem but it definitely needs one and the dash is hard to see in daylight but other than that absolutely love it
