1 Owner 40 Year Old Kawasaki
So I can’t really play dumb and pretend it was the booze like when I bought my 996s last month
I’m at that age where we start feeling like old farts and start collecting all the old stuff we once had as youngsters. Latest one is a bike my dad owned from brand new in 1981 and I also had one and did around 100k on touring around South Africa on at the same time. I was scouring the usual haunts like eBay etc and last week the unicorn showed up. Smashed in a bid with 10 seconds to go and the deal was done !
what is it I hear you ask ? Behold this fine specimen of a 1981 Kawasaki KZ1100 shaft drive with full Craig Vetter luggage kit supplied and fitted at POS by Kawasaki. It has covered a mere 5000 miles from brand new and is still rocking the original Dunlop Cold Steel tyres
Best bit is battery still had life in it and it barked into life on the press of the button !!!!! Carbs will need a good clean though as it’s a bit stuttery low down.
I have the original title... -

V4 ….back To The V4
So….. my 1199 lasted 102 days before the desire to get another V4 finally took hold and I ended up in Norwich to collect this 2020 base model V4…..
This is how she was when I picked her up yesterday… however i have a few mods to put on her which will make it look a little different. And of course I’ll pop them on the thread for everyone’s enjoyment and amusement
Booked on to Portimao with NL in May 2022 and will no doubt do a few UK days before hand. Nothing against the 1199, it was a bit of a beast with the JHP engine work and other modifications but I just missed the awesomeness of the panigale V4. Roll on spring 2022 -

New Tractor
Ok, so I didnt want to poison the PP thread anymore.
Waited, seen it, seen the price, weighed up what I want/like. Then placed order for another GS. Forgive for I have sinned. Again.
Anyway. HP colours. Heated seats. Long warranty and servicing included (offer atm.)
Always an element of luck with new bikes/cars, but if it is as reliable as my previous 3 BMW motorcycles...then amazing as that has been 100%
Forums eh? you would think everything self detonates just after leaving the forecourt! -

Need Accommodation In Wales - South And West Wales?
We've moved into our large house/small hotel in Fishguard, 1mile from the ferry port to Ireland. Anyone planning a trip out this way drop us a line, we have 4 double rooms, 3 en suite, not sure of the bedding arrangements yet but can probably accommodate 8-10,, safe off road parking behind the house.
rates to forum members ( paid up) would be minor, just something to cover the cost of servicing the room -
Grazie Vale!

Hello From Leeds
Hi, I bought my first Ducati to replace my Triumph Speed Triple R in June, and it's fantastic.
Being short of leg, it's the first bike I've had for years that I can flat foot on both sides, albeit with the lower seat. It's just so light and easy to manoeuvre, and the engine is an absolute peach. I've done 2000 miles already, with a big grin on my face the whole time. -

Happy Monster + Owner
So, was a bit ”sceptic” to start with but now I am sure. This one is a keeper. Have had a lot of different Ducatis, I have a 996 in the garage as well, but this is the most fun bike I have ever ridden. Suits me and my riding style/capacity perfect.
Will be used both in the streets and on the track.
Now with the full Termignoni system it is the bike it should have been from the factory!!!! Even lighter, better sound and a few more horsepowers as well. At least that is what Termignoni says, not tested. -

748 02 748 Mini Resto
Hi guys and girls thought id do a little post on my progress of my first Ducati.
Nothing major just want a nice usable bike at the end of this, so I bought it 2 weeks ago, its a 2002 and it’s virtually been stood since 2013, a guy got it from a widow as part of a payment for him doing a bathroom, he had only done about 8 miles to the mot station and back and the bike was in his garden so he had to sell it as he didn’t want it rusting away.
The day I picked it up
So obviously it needed a full service and a bloody good clean, here are some progress pictures and im still waiting for bits to arrive then i can get it fully cleaned up. In all honesty though I thought it would be a lot worse than it is!
And as you can see the air filters were in desperate need of replacement, they are perished!
And i was dreading taking the mesh filter out but a massive relief as it was clean as a whistle.
Hopefully this weekend ill be replacing belts and fuel filter, so far so good, really nice to... -
Mancave Ducati Light Unit
I’ve had a pattern 916 seat unit kicking around a while, so I thought I’d turn it into my latest mancave project, a 916 tribute light/cabinet.
I chopped it in half, mounted it in a fabbed faux frame and shaped unit, added a one off light, seat foam and decals. The light cover is a sheet of acrylic I painted the decal on the back.
Problem is I don’t have a Mancave yet..
