A wonderful ride out a couple of weeks back with @KevB on his SP4. Got the chance to open her up a bit and she goes over 7k rpm.

just got back from mine in taplow - left home at 7.30am got back at 5.00pm
you learn so much in a very positive and supportive environment
you meet some really interesting folks - i was in a group of 8 and we went out with our assessors in pairs for a 70m trip at the end you get some written feedback and about 2 stops during the ride to switch the lead. they dont hang about and the phrase 'pushing on' is oft cited and well observed!
i was the youngest and most inexperienced rider and a few of the group had done iam and rospa courses and several bikesafe courses
at £65 its far too cheap and even the goody bag is super useful
ill make a point of doing it yearly - where else do you get an assisted ride with an experienced specialist for such cheap monies?
get it booked!

For those that don't know, and why would you, I collect Adidas trainers, a passion I've had since I was a kid, so with that in mind, here's my 1199S in its new trackday bodywork...

Well I moved from Triumph, basically the reason was they couldnt get the bike I wanted, so onto another dealer and back on a BMW. I went to look at the F850gs but it was just to tall for my short arse, but I relucantly took out a 1250gs for a spin. I was very impressed, after a couple of hours of riding around, went back to the dealer and lifted a new to me, 1250gs. These a cracking bikes, I'm very happy with it, it has marmite looks, but dont all bikes to a certain point. I like the look but the handling, braking, power etc I now have the satnav so coffee shop location tours wont be a problem. is suprisingly good and it was unexpected. So yeh, happy bunny.

How do I say this? I no longer have my BMW K16, my R1250GSA or my joyous 939SP pensive, I'm down to a one bike garage. But what a bike! Not to everyone's liking I know, but the new slimmer design does provide a little more entertainment when cornering, and I just love all the toys.

This is the DCT/Airbag version, so I just need to get on it and ride!
Hopefully I will not be cast asunder for this choice

2016 Hyperstrada 939

Story behind this, had the Hyperstrada 821, was great, got seduced by new bike'itis and swopped it for the Multistrada 950, now there was nothing wrong with the Multi but it was just a tad bigger, more cumbersome and less fun than the Hyper, my Reading to Central London commute was less grin inducing and it was no more or less comfy for my wife (6ft with no shoes on) !!

So when I outed the Multi pre-covid I decided when the time was right I'd get another Hyperstrada but they don't make new ones so this is one of the last I believe, only showing 3500 odd miles, am yet to ride it but will do soon ....

Just joined the forum and obligatory photo of my new 2022 Model 950 SP. the Hyper is a retirement gift from me to err me! Bought with the full termignoni race pipe, some extra bits of carbon, crash bobbins and a tail tidy. Photo taken at the supplying dealers as it’s as clean as it will ever be.

Originally from Norfolk now living in Stavanger Norway.
Recently purchased my first Ducati 916 sps after looking for one for many years.
Looking to restore the bike back to original and have a bike i can enjoy for years to come.
Any input welcome on parts that dont look standard.
The pictures attached are from when i bought it, small paint repair on rear right needed where the previous owner had a little accident.

Picked her up at lunchtime and been out and about familiarising myself or should that be re calibrating myself

Not long had a new to me 959 Panigale, not been without its teething troubles in the first few weeks, but the garage I bought the bike from can't be faulted for quickly sorting the probs.

Always wanted a Ducati and wanted something useable on the roads and good for a few trackdays each year too. Absolutely love the bike, previously had a S1000R BM and Aprilia Mille before that, great to be back on a bike that's full of character.

Snuck in a track day at Brands shortly after picking it up, was probably a bit of a daft idea, still getting used to the bike now. Can't wait for Donnington on the 1st September

Tomorrow I am leaving for a trip to Germany to ride the Nurburgring. I have been going most years since about 2001. To begin with I used to go with Simon Byrne (Byrne-up) and ride in public traffic at weekends. This was before the place became manic. Whilst there one year I was introduced to someone who was an instructor on the Motorrad courses that are run there each year. These are closed events for bikes only. Nowadays I only ride there at these events. Lapping in public traffic is too dangerous now. I knew somebody that was killed there whilst lapping in public traffic a few years ago.

Picked my V4 up today. Then did 159 miles on it round the Warwick’s and Worcs roads.
What a bike. Like my old DVT but better.

Just a day tour today.
Decided to take the GS as it has been parked up since purchase of the MonsterR.
Bloody capable thing for munching miles.
Anyway. Would say some great roads sort of between Aurillax, Saint Flour, Clermont Ferrand, Ussel.

I've always wanted a yellow 748 after riding a red one around Cadwell on a Ducati Experience many, many years ago and have been looking for one recently but it seems that I've bought a white 853 instead...

What I liked was all the oily and bouncy bits have been sorted but it's not pristine so I can use it and change other bits as I go along. Some stickers have already come off and more will follow, any furry bolts will get changed and any corroded bits will get treated (and 2 bins to keep some people happy!)
This evening the tail got swapped for the BP (no pictures because it's dark) however I now need a stock undertray and perhaps a tail tidy.

And a sprocket cover because it doesn't have one.

And a headlight bulb... how the f do you change the low beam? The bulb wire disappears into the headlight pod and I really hope I don't have to take everything apart just to change...
