Hi, after Panigale then 1260 Pikes Peak ownership I am now a proud V4s owner. So far I am really enjoying the smaller more nimble bike. -

V4 Picked Up New Bike Today
Collected my new bike today. Luckily it wasn't affected by the engine recall. Very happy with it so far, it does everything I want / need in a bike. Way more comfortable and refined than the BMW S1000XR I traded in and the wife really likes it too. Hopefully get the first service done soon then I can really enjoy the motor to its full potential as it's an absolute peach. -
New Bike Day.
Here's my new Hypermotard 1100 Evo safely delivered to the barn today. I can't wait to give it a whirl over the weekend if I can get a moment to myself. This one was only registered in 2019, has covered about 3000 miles since and is in showroom condition. More photos to follow and will then be heading off east with me as my new island runabout to replace my trusty Yamaha NMax. -

2021 Krt Zx10r
Snapped up one of the first of these to land in Australia. Purchased late Feb with an informal lease back arrangement with the Dealer so they could display it provided they put up a large "DO NOT TOUCH" sign and dropped in every now then to check for fingerprints or smears.
So have only had it two weeks and have been installing some mods plus it's been in the mid'30s here in Perth, Western Aust, so not comfortable riding weather. So she is not run in but I hope to do a track day in early May so hopefully things will cool off.
Mods so far:
C/F Chain guard/Swingarm covers/below seat panel covers/frame covers (more coming)
Bonamici rearsets
GB case covers and shark fin
R&G sliders and tail tidy
ASV short levers
Rear Cowl (wanted $900AUD Green, $400 Black, I would have walked out, got Green $400)
Leo Vince Ti "GP" Exhaust

Winter Project Finished Then....
TRIUMPH 675 DAYTONA 2010
Wet Weight (with 7 litres of fuel) 169kg
Bike was bought with crash damage late last summer for a bargain price. I then fully repaired with Triumph parts for the road. MoT pass first time.
Then work to convert to track bike. The K-Tech kit cost more than I paid for the bike and was the most expensive item. Most parts were sourced over the winter months from EBay. Paintwork was done by me using rattle cans and lots of tea.
Finished the bike this morning bar a little fettling. Plan is to run this year as a minimum. First outing is Silverstone on 16th April and I cannot wait.
SPEC LIST/WORK DONE
· K-Tech DDS Lite shock
· Hyperpro RSC top mounted steering damper
· Forks stripped and rebuilt with K-Tech SSK fork kit. K-Tech springs. K-Tech oil
· Suspension set up by Steve Jordan
· Metzeler TD slicks (two sets of wheels – one slicks, other road)
· LighTech rearsets, road pattern
· Triumph lightweight... -

V4 V4 Base Model Mods
So, I finally managed to buy the bike I’ve wanted since they were released. Very privileged to be able to get one and cannot wait to set her lose on track.
So I got her like this....
Hard to find a base model as many seem to buy the ‘S’ model but as I had wanted to upgrade the forks and shock anyway I decided the base model was the way forward.
so after a couple of months she now looks like this.....
The mods aren’t really in the same league as some of the bikes on here but she’ll be good enough for me
Stock exhaust back on so I don’t fail the noise testing

First Run Of The Year
Well, that was the first proper outing for my 959 this year, apart from a short shake down ride a couple of weeks ago. The weather was around 15deg and the roads were dry, it would have been foolish to miss the opportunity..
Loch Morlich and the Cairngorms ski slopes in the background.. Only stopped to refuel, before heading back home.. -
V2 Nearly Track Ready...
Done a few upgrades over winter to make the V2 more track focused. Its certainly not as crazy as some I've seen on here with your mental V4's, but thought I'd share
Work done
ABS Bypass with new lines of course
HPK Discs
Brembo SC Pads (from reviews on the forum, will see)
DP Track fairings - Had CRC, but didn't like the fit. Having had to remove these several times, wish I stuck to the CRC
CNC Rearsets
Lithium battery
New Grips
Tank grips
DP Race seat
Exhaust valve lockwired open (JHP just mentioned doing it so I just went with it. No idea if it does a lot)
Crash protection on front forks and clutch/alternator - Annoyingly have a DP clutch protector and R&G Alt side. Will prob change the Clutch to R&G so it doesn't look odd
Just a wrap by sublime to get done next week so it looks unfinished. I also thought about a full system or just the silencers but 1, it's fkn expensive and 2, I like that I can get into any UK track because it's not too loud. -
It’s Been A While
Hi all
I trust you’re well and keeping safe. It’s been a while since my last update, we’ve been busy settling into our new lives down under
Since Christmas quarantine we’ve found and moved into a house in a leafy suburb purchased a car and I bought a bike to commute the 4.5km to my new job.
In February I took a job helping out a gardening business, basically hedge trimming and lawn mowing, bloody hard work, it felt like I’d been in the gym every day!! I lost the weight I’d gained through lockdown now under 12st from 13st 6 in March last year.
I didn’t want to get back into sales and applied for and landed a role as facilities and maintenance lead with a brand new luxury retirement village
http://rosebymoran.com.au/
I’m now responsible for the upkeep of the heritage gardens and the facilities for the residents including indoor pool and spa, gym and private cinema.
Here’s a few photos and apologies in advance for my chosen “commuter” -

A Very Unducati Ducati
Hi, this is my 2012 796, looks a bit better now than when I bought it, poor thing had been run over. Now it goes around announcing it's presence to everyone.
It definitely gets noticed -
Time For A Few Pics.
Got the bike delivered 18th December but haven’t really used it due to lockdown so spent a little time making it mine… -
Honda Thread
New purchase. Low mileage, NSR250 MC21. She's a stunning bike in mint condition. Had a little run on her, goes really well, great fun and sounds lovely. An old school 2 stroke, with a choke and kickstart, brings back a lot of memories. -
Yay Finally Got It...
Been looking forward to this for a while... -
Just What Is It About Ducati's ?????
as the title says, what is it about these bikes that provokes such emotion ? or otherwise ? we all knew they weren't the best, dodgy electrics, poor build quality (early models) Ill start this off......
at a race meeting at Snetterton, many many moons ago, i stood next to some guy on a heavily modified bevel 900 SS, black and gold with open pipes, the noise from this thing was astonishing, hairs up on the back of my neck, made the ground shake with the percussive thump from each piston firing, out on the track it was no slouch either, keeping up with the latest from Japan. since then, that's all i ever wanted, that booming twin frightening everything within a 100 mile radius, and now i have one..................... -
1200 DVT Totally Transformed The Handling, Comfort And Rideability.
Had a real result this weekend.
The bike would weave slightly when dropped into a bend. It just didn’t feel planted. Also the angle of the seat made it uncomfortable, as we all know.
Having read about the preload fork setting on the forum I put the advice into action over the winter.
I wound out the preload on the right fork leg and sure enough it was something like a quarter turn from fully out. (Factory setting).
Working on the basis of 15kg per turn I wound it back in for my weight and then backed it off half a turn. As it’s generally accepted it can be slightly too firm using exactly those maths. Only half a turn back out though. I’d had a go and was pleased but it wasn’t there. Not fully sorted.
A couple of weeks ago I had a go on bro 6’s Aprillia Tuono and the handling was fantastic. The suspension was firm but absorbed bumps. It went round bends like it was on rails.
I needed to set the my rear suspension. That made me remember this chart I’d found on the American... -
